  1. Short answer, because they get paid more here to sit on the bench then they would do starting anywere else in Europe
  2. Signed for Watford today

If we played him next to Kanté we wouldnt have a powerfull midfield, we would have the smallest midfield in the league

Something Nainggolan isnt. The player you describe isnt someone we can realistically get. At least not this late in the window. Its kiterally only a handfull players iut there who have great passing ability and at the same time very high energy levels. Verrati, to a lesser degree Pogba, Modric and Vidal. Thats it really
  5. I wouldnt, Delph is avsolutely awful. At least Drinkwater can pass the ball around a bit.
  6. Moses? Surely joking? I mean he took his goal well enough but he had a shambolic game for the most part. Constantly out of position, Azpi was constantly screaming at him, left Ox with a ton of room which was were Arsenal created everything the first 20 mins. Contributed nothing offensively because he only had one move and everyone knows it by now. Shades of Ivan this, awful game but he got a goal so somehow it was a great performance. Cahill taken some heat here lately, but fair play to him he was MoM today.
  7. He wont. According to FA its not a competitive game. Just like Ivan a few years back he wont get a ban
  8. Just saw Moses biggest weakness there, Azpi fairly annoyed
  9. Not a single outfield player with PL experience on the bench. Awesome
  10. Yes, because Everton has proven to be fsirly easy to deal with. I dont think signing Drinkwater is a good idea either, but from the options you mentioned, its to me the best option we got for s back up CM, by far. So I can def see the predicament the board is in
  11. Unless we want to spend 50+ million, and even then I highly doubt it, Davies isnt available. Not sure were you have read that Koeman doesnt want him. Hes been signing his praises at every corner and hade some very nice words to say when he signed a new deal towards the end of last season. Im far from a fan of Drinkwater, like at all. But if the options are Delph and McCarthy hes by far the best alternative. He would be mostly squad depth and having a non HG player in that position would be stupid. Personally I would have hoped we kept Chalobah, but he clearly didnt want that role sadly.
  12. For a CM role, Drinkwater is by far the best alternative. Everton would never in a million years sell us Davies. Absolutely no chance and Wilshere isnt a fit for us and is as durable as a wet paperbag.
  13. One could almost belive that you think the board arent focusing at both.
  14. Xfaxtor replied to Zeta's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
And they would have completely different roles. If we are interested in a player like Drinkwater, Barkley would never be an alternative. With that said, Barkley is also bang average. Hasnt improved over the last 3 years, and isnt likely to improve any further. Pass
  15. Barkley is a rubbish CM, completely different player to someone like Drinkwater
  16. What are our choices exactly? We are desperate for another CM and we nost likely need someone with HG status that doesnt mind sitting on the bench. What are our options exactly?
  17. Of course we wouldnt, but we are lacking players with HG status so we dont have much if a choice really.
  18. Nobody ever said he cant be questioned, its just anoying that he is used as a scapegoat for everything that goes wrong at the club.
  19. Xfaxtor replied to Baba's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
We are not getting Drinkwater FFS.

At least it wont be any doubts to whos signing Candreva was. Theres no way anyone at the club besides Conte wants him lol
  21. I simply cant understand how you can look at Matic play and think " gee, he sure looks comfortable on the ball".
  22. Out of curiousity, what else was he going to say?
  23. That fact that we have to include Reny fir a full bench says it all really. For the first month without Hazard we have Musonda and Pedro as our only attacking options. Boga is never going to get a sniff under Conte and Remy is, well Remy. Which means that currently Pedro is our cover for both wingbacks, both wings together with maybe Musonda and striker in case Morata and Bats has to come off. Conte is looking more and more agitated for every week that passes and with good reason, he was probably promised replacements for the players he didnt want but that hasnt happened. Could see him throwing an absolute fit and utilize the 13 senior outfield players we have untill they are run into the ground.
  24. Pasalic is on his way out, Tomori and Baker will never get any meaningfull minutes from Conte. We are looking at a bench of Fab, Willian and Rüdiger and then Musonda/Boga as our only attacking options for the first month or so. No matter how you try to stay positive, thats not going to cut it with the extra CL games. Its no wonder Conte sounds more and more pissed by the day
