Jose slagging of our attacking players has them scared to try stuff as they are more worried about making mistakes than creating. When he praises William whose best trait is running and closing down and takes shots at the rest it sadly says a lot.

You do have to wonder if we had kept Mata till the summer we might have been in a c/l final or got a few points more in the league. Oscar was always going to tail off as he had played a load of games for a young player including the Olympics confeds etc so the killing of Mata is looking even more foolish.

There is no such thing as a best manager in the world it is like the twats who call the premier league the best league in the world its the richest. In my view there are around a dozen managers at any time who are excellent and at the same level but certain managers suit certain clubs better and sometimes a manager is fortunate to have a player like Ronaldo Messi or a squad of players with great depth.

Only one man Ferguson has had Mourinhos rich resources of wealth and quality of footballers over the past decade so it is a moot point isn't it? Actually you could add Carlo him Jose and Ferguson have similar records in getting to finals over the same time. Carlo 3rd final next month I excluded his 2002 win as it was before Jose was managing. Jose 2 out of 2 wins and Ferguson 3 finals 1 win. Football over the past decade at the highest level in Europe is weighted to the haves and havenots has any other manager managed clubs with their resources?. Not sure why it is even debatable Real Madrid and Roman appointed Jose in his first spell to win the European cup he didn't but he kicked ass domestically with us. His success at Porto winnng the European cup was exceptional not so much at Real and Chelsea in Europe, to win the treble at Inter was great but they had the highest wage bill in Europe at the time so not exactly a little horse.

I think you overlooked the bit where I said he is an excellent coach but I stand by 7 seasons with us and Real Madrid or okay lets take out this season as it was a transtion year and say six seasons with us and Madrid and not one final in the champions league with the two most expensive squads is nothing special IN EUROPE. Come on Real Madrid are not exactly a little horse compared to Barca unless you buy into us being a little horse as well!. I think they financed Bale by selling Ozil, Higuain and Callejon who between them have 50 odd goals and around 30 assists this season. All were avail to Jose but not Ancelotti so the squad is quite similar. My argument isn't to knock Jose or champion Ancelotti but that certain managers suit certain clubs and whilst Jose is an excellent manager I can see why some people state he hasnt done anything special over the past few years post Inter and there is a strong case to say he failed at Real Madrid not Moyes style but should have done better. I am also coming to the conclusion that managers are overrated if you pick most of the managers who have won a European cup or league title there isn't much difference. The difference is style and how they present themselves to the media its mainly about players. Its when you go mental and get a Moyes who had 11 years of being a failure.

Most sane people don't consider the semi final of the c/l this season a failure but no trophies and possbily finishing outside the top 2 is average for Chelsea. When you consider Grant and RDM got to a final and Jose hasn't done in 4 times at Chelsea and 3 times at Real Madrid with endless rches then Ancelotti gets to one in his first season at Real you can see why people are making certain comments. Make no mistake Jose has to win the league or champions league next season.

If Eden had badmouthed his manager and teammates then he would have my full support to bollock him but that is clearly not the case as I can't stand dissent from players but on the other hand I don't like players being made scapegoats either like Jose has done quite a few times with players this season. Jose comments are nothing to do with improving Hazard and all to do with changing the topic ie blaming the loss on someonelse. We all know where this ends up with Hazard being sold for someone who has the endurance of Mo Farah and is as quick as Usain but with half the football ability. Build the team in the final 3rd around Hazard give him freedom let the others do the running and this boy will get us loads of goals and assists.

Jose is coming over as a boring bully this season. After the hanging out Mata to dry Hazard has carried us in the attacking 3rd at times this season. Not sure what purpose it serves to discuss it further than to try and apportion blame for a loss.

Napoli have the 5th highest wage bill in Italy and despite their chairman appearing nuts they run a tight ship most of their players earn less than we pay our kids wage bill is 70million euros. They are a bit like spuds where they aren't one of the powerhouses but prosper when the Milans struggle. The chairman seems to love Benitez and he gave an interview about it being a project and having more points than last season and playing cl football this season. No way can they afford to buy Mata in Jan and Mata won't be leaving till the summer and a lot can happen between then.

Very good team perfomnace and good to see Luiz offering something different in midfield. Sad to see Ivanovic injured go off but no suprise to see Dave on the right and Luiz invlved in a goal. Doubt we would have got that from Ivanovic and Mikel. I have heard a few people talk about Luiz as defensive in midfield but I see it as more attacking. After we scored the 2nd I thought we could get 4 or 5 but at ht we took our foot off the pedal and invited them onto us which was a bit strange maybe it was legs but considering we have rotated over the festive perod more than them it was more tactical to get them on the counter.

Here is a thought maybe opposing teams are happy for us to have the ball and most of the shots we take are from outside the box rather than cutting teams open. So it's a bit misleading when people look at shots and % stats.
