The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
Could you imagine if avb or the interim had said one of his players could have been killed after a ball was kicked at one of their players they would have tried to section them.

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
I’m not sure if the interim is getting an easy ride from the media. Although I agree none of the media twats have any right to tell us fans how we should behave at all. It is pretty simple British managers get an easier ride compared to overseas managers. Look at the Redknapps, Moyes, Alladryce and Ferguson compared to Avb, Benitez, Ranieri Ramos Wenger over the years. You only have to look at the way Shreeves and co talk to them as an example of the old boys network. Same way as they can't wait to stick the knife into Luiz compared to Johnny Evans. Martinez is the exception but he goes on talksport and plays the game and he is almost an adopted brit. I wasn’t a fan of avb and the interim but some of the questioning is pretty sh*tty at times. Take the Lampard situation he knows f**k all what is happening about it yet week after week they try and rephrase the question. It's not like the interim is going to say Frank was good today I am going to offer him a new contract. You only have to look at the situation with JT to see they are sh*tstirring. At times we certainly haven’t made it easy for ourselves and if the likes of Emenalo or Roman had spoken out over the past 18 months it would be a lot clearer and would have killed most of this.

FA Cup Quarter Final Draw
Both us and United have a game to play yet, let's hope they dont bring out the big guns for this one. Saying that though the players would be fired up for that one and even the interim hates them. They wouldnt dare to schedule it for the Sat would they? as all being well we play on the Thursday of that week.

Chelsea v Brentford (FA Cup) 17/02/13 KO 12:00 GMT
Job done and four goals and a clean sheet and JT does 90 mins and Frank scores. Luiz yellow would have been a red if we were playing United no doubt about it. Oscar is great but as if we didnt know that and Hazard after he came on worked really hard to go with his flair resulting in winning the ball to setup an earlier goal.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Jose would break twitter in fact he would end up breaking the internet.

Chelsea v Brentford (FA Cup) 17/02/13 KO 12:00 GMT
After watching all the upsets this season it would have been suicide to not put out a strong team.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Both of them are very good coaches and are used to working under a a setup where they do not have full control. I guess this appeals a lot to Emmenalo and co, I would be happy with either assuming they speak good English.

Who's next? - Manager talk (merged)
Latest rumour doing the rounds City and Liverpool contacted Ancelotti in November to sound him out at the end of the season, this made me raise my eyebrow.

Let’s see if we can dispel some old myths
I think Jose follows this rule and maybe even Guardiola decided to move on for this reason as in his fourth season the team were not at the same level it's almost like they needed to hear another voice and maybe some twist on new ideas. "The third year," the great Hungarian coach Bela Guttmann always said, "is fatal." If a manager stays at a club more than that, he said, his players tend to become bored and/or complacent and opponents start to work out counter-strategies. There are occasional exceptions, especially in weaker leagues, but at the highest level it seems to hold true that great teams last a maximum of three years. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/jan/10/three-year-rule-barcelona Ferguson seems to be a freak of nature.

I know it is wrong but this image always makes me laugh and the man in the background with the tash is well spooky.

Lukaku to Everton
Just watched him come on and have a good 20mins a great run followed by an excellent goal, why we did not recall this lad is utter madness. Oh Steve Clarke does the double over those twats well done.

Falcao to Chelsea?
Cech has another 8 years in him and I wouldn’t swap him for any other keeper, DeGea was meant to be the bollocks and has taken a fair bit of time to adjust unless Cech is seriously injury prone or wants to leave most changes of a gk make things worse. If we could swap Courtais and cash for Falcao then it seems a good deal although his value should be a bit more what did DeGea go for 17million, that means we are valuing him at 10 million if Falcao has a buyout clause of 45 million which seems a bit low.

Lampard Staying at Chelsea!
A few people seem to be saying he should get a new contract out of loyalty, it is maybe an insult to Frank. He deserves one for his performances on the pitch and I'm sure he would want one on merit rather than loyalty. I am more optimistic than I was two months back he has not signed a pre-contract with anyone else which he could have done and he is playing well and fit. Here is hoping we can sign him up to a one year deal with an option if he plays a certain amount of games for another season, a win win for both parties.

I see the mail are doing their best to pick funny pics to claim we have been "snubbed" zzzzzzz.

Who's next? - Manager talk (merged)
If Antonio Conte was to be the next that would be decent better than the likes of Moyes and Martinez who would be very poor choices. I have Juventus down as a dark horse to do well in the c/l the pressure of managing Juventus would have prepared him well for this job not too mention the offfield stuff that has gone on at Juve.

Chelsea v Sparta Prague (EL) 14/02/13 KO 18:00 GMT
I love all European football can't take the snobbery of it is only the Europa league bollocks that gets trotted out. Would I rather be in the c/l yes but we are where we are, players like Oscar Dave and Moses and a few other haven’t played much European footie so it will also give them some extra experience. Evissy makes a great point that it keeps them motivated and gives them something to play for not downplaying the importance of finishing 3rd or above for next season but they don't give you a trophy for that last time I checked. .

What was the point in getting Ba?
Is this not a bit of a red herring we scored 8 goals against Southampton, Brentford, Newcastle and Reading but didnt win any of them. We are scoring goals and the last game we did not score in was away at Swansea the game Ba started which all of us wanted to see Ba start. I guess Ba will play against Brentford and City with Torres playing both the Prague games. If we defend as a team scoring 2 goals in a game should get you wins in most cases.
-
Where's your backbone, Chelsea?
You won't get any disagreements from me that we need to defend our players. The problem is we are clueless at boardroom level and things that happened prior to this incident have made us follow this path. Anyway before I hammer the board for this incident I will wait to see what they do,but I'm not too optimistic and I fear we will get the lube ready and take it. As I said threaten to boycott the FA cup as we are not satasfied with how we have been treated.
-
Where's your backbone, Chelsea?
Well Arsenal and United have had someone on the FA board for the past 10/11 years, it seems to be who you know not what you know. Boycott the FA cup as the holders that would make some statement but it won't happen.

Eden v Ballboy
Violent conduct, what an absolute joke the FA are useless twats, I hope we fight this but then again the FA are a kangaroo court who act as judge and jury. How can you have an appeal process that punishes someone more for appealing.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Ba started against Stoke and Southampton 12th and 16th if he started against Arsenal that would have made it 3 games in 8 days, so he has played him twice within a week. As long as he starts Ba tomm I won't complain. City and United have four strikers so if RVP and Aguerro break down it is less of an issue.
-
Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
What happens if we played Ba for the next few games he breaks down Feb 1st and we only have Torres, now that would be stupid. I still think we should recall Lukkaku we pay his wages and spent a fortune getting him here, he comes back when we need him, despite his loan doing him the world of good. Whilst we have two strikers they will be rotated as we wait for hopefully Falcao in the summer.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I think you are right, I'd say he likes winding up the interim and maybe even Roman a bit hence we will see leaks like this. The one that worrys me is if Ferguson retires in the summer, imagine seeing him there that would be some bad sh*t.
