Excellent first half when we looked bright and busy and kept the high tempo which is essential for us. Dropped a little in the second but overall an excellent 3 points.

Cech 7 - Reduced the flapping a little and made some saves - all of which I would expect him to make.

Bosingwa 8 - MOM Excellent all round performance which should have been capped by nice goal.

Terry 7 - I'm still laughing at the posters who thought we should sell Terry. Brilliant stuff lads. Did you arrange it all in a series of pms?

Alex 7 - Generally solid from the Brazilian Paul McGrath.

Ferreira 8 - I like Paulo. He looks like a little boy.

Mikel 6 - More averageness from The Great Imposter. Keeping the place warm for Essien, eh Guus?

Lampard 8 - Best at what he does in the world.

Kalou 5 - Not good enough. I doubt even the lovely Phil Brown would pick him.

Ballack 6 - I'm sick of our teutonic turd. What does he earn in a week, £80,000? Twice as much as a nurse, teacher, policeman or fireman earns in a week. OK so he's in the entertainment business, he adds to the gaiety of the nation. He does in his bollocks.

Anelka 7 - Nice goal Nic.

Drogba 7 - Welcome back big man. Looks rusty but he's the last name the opposition want to see on our teamsheet.

The Players at the End 3 - Look at us everybody, we're together, we're as one, we're a unit. The only problem was that Lampard hugged Drogba as he would embrace a 6ft 4 column of warm, moist, steaming poo. Guus said that he thought the group "hug" wasn't for the cameras which of course means that he knew it was.

Forget the cameras lads. Just play football. That's what you're good at.

Agree with your MOTM and the other players Liam, all except Ballack, thought he did a job in pulling some of the villa players out of position and creating space for Lampard. He got forward a lot and held possesion for most parts.

You're right Coco, he did do well enough today. It hurt to go as high as 6 but realistically 7 would have been fairer. I'm just sick of him for some reason which I can't quite put my finger on. He's just not what we're about when we're on our game.

Fairly close to my ratings Liam, although I'd give terry 8 as he was my MOTM. Ballack I thought had a really good first half but things fell apart a bit when Deco came on.

Not too sure about liking Paulo because he looks like a little boy.

Agree with you on the group hug thing. A lot of people really like that, I just find it cringe worthy.

Alex was chiefly responsible for their best chances so I'd mark him down a little and I'd give Mikel a 10, of course.

Some facts about Paolo Ferreira:

1. He's Portuguese.

2. I like him.

3. He is a full back.

4. He plays for Chelsea.

5. He is 1.83m tall.

6. He looks like a little boy.

7. He played for Porto.

Compare to his usual standard, Ballack wasn't bad. His passing was reasonable, always track back, won some good headers, and unlucky not to score a goal at the death. Kalou was a waste of space, I hope he doesn't get a start against Juventus.

I have to think that Ferreira is a bit overrated at 8. More like 6. He had some BAD moments that could have resulted in goals.

This isn't really related, but I didn't think it warranted its own thread, but.. On telegraph's fantasy football Jose Bosingwa is the most selected player, and in the 3 categories - GK, defender, midfielder, and forwards - chelsea players are on top in 3/4, Bosingwa, Lamps, and Anelka.
