Never liked him since his manc days to be honest.. I have always thougt he was a bit self rightous or something .. there is definatley something about him I dont like.

Hate Reading too, lived in around for a lot of my life, so many new fans they are worse than us !! and they tried to kill our keepers !

All in all I am quite happy this morning

I've never liked Coppell since he was at United either, and his attitude after the Petr Cech incident made me hate him. Loved watching the highlights of Burnley stuffing Reading!

me too, it was f**king delightful watching him squirm and look gutted when the second goal went in.

I don't have much against Coppell, but I can't stand Reading, so it was enjoyable to see them lose. Burnley have had an excellent season though, and I hope they cap it by going up.

Don't like anyone associated with Reading (except Sidwell), their players will flock and they'll be left with bare bones. Hope Hunt is in the Premier League next season... will be going to the game with my bottle tops in my pocket!!

I've always liked Coppell as a manager, his sides always tried to play football, given their limitations financially.

Did they ?

Palace under Coppell

Goalkeeper - Throw to fullback

Fullback - advance up field , pass to winger if avilable or midfield , carry on recieve ball backif passed to midfield

Fullback - Cross ball on the edge of the 18yard box of closer to the by line if possible

Striker - Bright or Ian Wright head ball at goal

and repeat ............

and repeat..............

and repeat.........

You mean he pinched Scolari's tactics? :D

Yeah but look at Palace since he left them, they were always relegation fodder but I think he got them promoted (could be wrong) and kept them punching above their weight for a few years, and found players like Wright and Bright as you've mentioned, also Geoff Thomas, Southgate and Chris Coleman all have Coppell to thank for their careers, albeit 2 of those were cut short through accident and illness.

Compared to Watford last season.. Goalkeeper - Put up the ball and kick up as far up the pitch as you can...

and repeat ............

and repeat..............

and repeat.........

At least his sides tried to play it on the deck.
