There are growing rumours emanating from Belgium that we've made an offer for Moussa Dembele who plays for AK Alkmaar in Holland. Don't know too much about him and his scoring record doesn't sound too prolific but that doesn't mean he might not be any good.

I've heard good things, but not sure what else to say.

It says that we're the favourites to sign Dembele for 15-18m but will loan him back to AZ which IMO would be very silly if we're going to spend so much money on a player, why loan him out?

I really don't think we would need this guy, firstly he is not that promising, we could get zhirkov for the same money, and if were to buy a belgian i would buy axel witsel he looks like he could do some damage in a year or two

Umm, the fact that Kalou has failed to nail down a place in the first team and is already 23. He has shown what he is capable of, only in glimpses. Yes, the managerial merry-go-round at Chelsea has not benefitted his career however, had he been good enough to compete with Joe Cole for the right wing spot in the starting XI, he would have got many more chances other than those he got when Joey was injured. He is defintely not a bad player, but not good enough for Chelsea standards, some may put it as "A luxury Chelsea cannot afford"

You still haven't stated why Dembele would be the same. Try placing your focus on exactly why Dembele would be another Kalou giving some subtsance to your reasoning. He is not Kalou therefore it is pointless using what has happened to Kalou as an example.

But on that he looks like a stronger, faster, more skilful version of Malouda. And he can play as a striker, second striker or winger (on both sides).
