A smug star ....

Well, guess I was proved right this afternoon in Carlo's press conference.

Chelsea had no real intention of splashing the cash, he assessed the squad, went with a diamond decision long before he was confirmed as manager.

The squad was kept together and IF we were in for a marquee signing - Kenyon failed for the second season running.

The real bonuses are that Joey Cole is nearing training, Drogba, Terry and Ashley Cole are set to stay here for the next few years and in Sturridge we have found a player that could yet be the surprise packet of the season.

In Zhircov we have cover for Ashley and real intent in a forward position if the situation requires.

Yes we might struggle when the Afro Nations comes along, but it's worth remembering we went on a right run of victories in past competitions of this nature.

Shevchenko will have to step up to the mark in Drogba's absence or if Anelka gets injured, don't know if no outs means Pizzaro is staying as well, the base of the diamond will probably be Deco's in Essien and Mikel's African adventure. I guess playing in the role primed for Pirlo, until Chelsea rightly pulled the plug on a deal that would have had no financial sense, or squad worth after the boys return from Africa.

Summing up, Man Utd are clearly worse off, Liverpool will miss Alonso, Arsenal just are not experienced enough and Man City are an expensive outfit but not yet a team.

The 'Magic Sign' are going through changes, I could be in Gibralter by the weekend ends and i've got a wedding to sort, for me and my girl and my daughter and her fella so won't be posting for a long while.

Happy debating, stick together, think we will be Champions but fall just short in Europe, but hey Celtic might oust the Gooners !

Sunderland Away looking forward to it,

Cmon the Chels ::ChELSeAFaN::

Drogs, Anelka, Sheva, Pizarro, Kalou, Sturridge. Two of them can play at the same time. During ACN when Drogs and Kalou go we have still Anelka, Sturridge, Pizarro, Sheva. Too much and too old for my liking.. besides ACN isn't that long tournament.

Do you guys even remember when we frustrated our hair off looking slow Sheva try. That was 3-4 years ago...Actually Pizarro looks like scoring more from those two, the guy scored 28 last season in Germany and Bundesliga is tougher than the Dutch league just for comparison.

But still I think everyone here can agree that our team has degraded during the years! Our core is still solid as rock but there aren't too many guys fighting to get into the "core"..

I thought we would change the team a lot this year. I was wrong and I don't like how we are set up for the season. I just hope Carlo is the Man and he leads us to glory.

I blame Kenyon!
