City Possible Cole Candidates?

According to reports coming out of Chelsea's training ground at Cobham, Coventry City could be a possible candidate to give Joe Cole a return to playing football once more.

The former West Ham man has been out since January with a crucial knee ligament injury.

He had got back to training but suffered a a small tear to his meniscus in the knee and has had to have more surgery.

As part of Cole's rehabilitation, Chelsea are looking at loaning him out for a month in December and the Sky Blues, who already have Patrick van Aanholt and Jack Cork on loan until December 31st thanks to Chairman Ray Ranson's links, are seen as one possible club who could take him.

The underlined part suggests there is truth to it.

Clearly not, what happens if he plays in Europe for them? He'll be cup-tied. For that reason alone I do not believe it.

Its bollocks anyway.

I believe it, I believe it! :P

Of course Gem! Why would he even consider an offer from them? Your mention of Europe makes it all the more exciting. -_-

Joey's silence is deafening..................

-_-

He must have handed in a transfer request by now. (for a loan? :P )

The thing that concerns me most about this is the fact that they are saying he won't play again till December. I had no idea it was that serious, just a minor setback I thought.

I'm sorry but I don't believe it.

Isn't there a restriction on the amount of players on loan from a single club anyway?

Besides, Bruce Buck said last Saturday on Talk Sh@te that Joey should be back training in a few weeks...and there were reports yesterday that Joey was aiming for a return for the Spuds game.

The Doctor

The Sunday Mirror are reporting the Spuds are in for him

Tottenham want to build on their flying start to the season by adding Joe Cole and David Wheater to their squad.

England midfield player Cole is in the last year of his contract and as yet has not agreed a new deal.

At 27, he is, in his words, approaching ìthe best five years of his career. That career was interrupted by a serious knee injury suffered in January in an FA Cup replay at Southend. He is progressing towards fitness but insists he will not be back until he is 100 per cent ready.

The comeback is being monitored by Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp. He knows Cole well. He signed him at West Ham and gave his debut when he was only 17.

Redknapp wants to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month and Cole is high on his wish list.

The fee will be around 10 million for Cole who can leave on a free transfer at the end of the season if Chelsea cannot agree a new contract with him

Joe Cole in the Championship? o___0

Surely he'd never go to the Spuds? He said he was a diehard Blue, and any self-respecting Chelsea fan would never go to such a scumhole.

Stupid rumour and Redknapp can f*ck off.

Cole has always said he's ridiculously happy at Chels, and once fit, he will have a chance to play in his favoured position at the tip of the diamond, so why would he want to go to Spuds to be stuck on the left wing????

Churchill bulldog can do one and look elsewhere to solve their left side problems.

probably be quite good to help him get back into the game after such a long lay off,i could see it happening

An even better way to get him back to full fitness is to have him train with his team mates and have him come off the bench for a few. The Tottenspam rumour did the rounds a few weeks back...they've just re-hashed it
