Posted October 8, 200915 yr Prolific Palermo striker Edison Cavani has voiced his ambitions to one day play for Chelsea or Juventus. The Uruguayan has been a big hit at the Rosanero since his move to Serie A from his homeland club Danubio in 2007. The 22-year-old has seen former team-mate Amauri move on to greater things with title chasers Juventus after a successful stint at Stadio Renzo Barbera, and he revealed his desire to follow in the Brazilian's footsteps. He said: "I want to play at Chelsea or Juventus. Palermo is going to be the trampoline that will launch me because I want to play in a giant team in the same way my idle Amauri did." Despite revealing his ambitious desires, the Uruguay international has assured Palermo fans they are long-term targets and that he is currently happy at the club. "I am fine at Palermo but in the future I would like to play at a giant European team and if I could chose I would like to do it at Chelsea or Juventus," he added. Is he any good ?

At negotiating a new deal? I'd say so on the evidence above........oh hang on a minute one of his targeted clubs is on a transfer ban, so unless he's prepared to wait 2 years, he probably go to Juve. In all honesty - I've never heard of him.
October 8, 200915 yr He's not the best in the world, but he is good and young. Perhaps not the player that should be our first choice.
October 9, 200915 yr Author Its not like everyday a player sounds out us as their dream club . So its good that finally there are a few trans continental players who genuinely would love to play for us . There was Dzagoev as well . If they are good enough it would be even better .
October 9, 200915 yr he was great on football manager 2008 if that helps ;) 20 for finishing and 19 for heading. sign him up i say :P Edited October 9, 200915 yr by sexelk
October 9, 200915 yr Not sure if he 'genuinely wants to play for us' or as others have pointed out, is just using our name to get a bigger contract, but it does say something that he plucked our name from the air, and not Manure or Dippers.
October 9, 200915 yr Don't think he'd add that much to the team, Lavezzi or Acquafresca would be better in terms of Serie A attackers.
October 9, 200915 yr Yeah, he's good on Football Manager. Not far off from the potential to be as good as Drogba. He is currently playing at close to his potential. However, he is fairly ambitious.

Maybe because we have an Italian manager who was well-known throughout the Serie scene.
October 10, 200915 yr I don't like Italy football... I would like to see Pato in Blue Shirt (dreams ) Aquafresca is good striker, and he comes from Poland.

October 10, 200915 yr I prefer actually being able to sign one of these acclaimed strikers (re: Transfer ban)
October 11, 200915 yr OK, but we have transfer ban till 2011, Pato singned new contract witch Milan. We can buy him after transfer ban...

October 30, 201113 yr http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/chelsea-line-up-napolis-cavani-to-be-new-drogba-2377254.html Citeh want him, we haven't a chance to match what they have to offer, unless he already knows what a sh*t pit it is up there.
October 30, 201113 yr Having watched about 2 of his matches, I do like his style. Not sure if we're actually in for him, but I'd be excited if he was coming to us. The only questions would be where would he play and would we have to change formations to fit Torres, Mata, Danny, Ramires, and him on the pitch.
October 31, 201113 yr To be honest, I reckon we need another striker. We have Drogba, Anelka heading towards the end of their career, Torres has been hit and miss to say the best, Sturridge and Lukaku are still in their developing stage. Unless Torres starts to fire, we really don't have much reliable options. I don't know too much about Cavani about from his reputation and goal scoring record, but it's not out of ordinary we will after another senior striker.
October 31, 201113 yr He's decent. But for our system we need to go for a Hazard, Hulk, Neymar, etc. Don't fancy our chances of getting any of them accept maybe Hazard.
