chelsea supporter living in Scotland

Featured Replies

Alright, I'm a new member of the site, a life long supporter of chelsea and have recently become a member of the club... I'm an English lad who's lived in scotland for most of my teens and i'm now a student in Glasgow. I bought the membership this year for the first time to go to as many matches as possible..and so far I was at Porto at home and Wigan away(oh the horror)..and I have my ticket for Blackburn at home in the next few weeks. Just wanted to introduce myself and ask if there are any other supporters who would be up for meeting up to watch matches in a pub in glasgow and organise a possible trip to see the chelshome or away? cheers, sandy

Welcome. I'm not Glasgow based, but I'm sure there'll be some people up for meeting up.

Greetings Sandy,

There quite a few Scottish Chelsea fans on here. I, like you, am an Englishman north of the border. I live in a small village just over an hour's drive from Glasgow. I have two young children so actually getting out drinking in Glasgow is about as likely as David James safely claiming a cross under severe pressure. However you never know...

Alright Sandy, hope you get together with someone for a trip, or at least a pint or two in the West End. I'm from Scotland, but now live in the States. If I'm ever home and down in Glasgow when a game is on, we could always meet up.

Anyway, welcome to the site, and get stuck in to some of the topics.

Not wishing to be picky here, Loz, but I have a dim recollection of reading in another thread some time ago that you were of mixed heritage. Could Englishman be a typo for Anglo-Scot or am I hallucinating?

Oops sorry, had to edit this to say Hello and welcome to Jonesy. Enjoy your years in Glasgow - it's a brilliant city!

That depends entirely on how you define nationality and/or heritage. If you define them as being a combination of where you are born and the nationality of your parents then I am part English and part Scottish. Personally I find both of those things entirely arbitrary and therefore insignificant when it comes to deciding what country you associate yourself most with.
