I'm hooked on QI.

Same here. Watched loads of clips on youtube awhile ago, but discovered this summer that I had BBC Entertainment and that they showed it there. Seen every episode since then.

It's brilliant.

US. Haven't seen the UK version, how does it compare?

Also, I do get the suspicion that the whole show is not improv like they claim.

Different opinions from different people, but I think the US version is FAR superior to the UK version, Ryan and Colin come into their own in the US version.

And, QI is brilliant. A new series started on Friday, series I, which I haven't seen yet, but I'm positive it won't disappoint!

Dear, dear Andreas. Entourage and Two and a Half Men? Please let me send you the first season of The Sopranos.

My Callan - the Monochrome Years has just arrived. And I had intended to mow the lawn, pick peaches and freeze them, clean the kitchen, and loads more...

maybe I'll just change my plans...

Finished Prison Break, one of the best series I've watched.. Season 1 and 3 being my favourites.

I missed the first season when it aired and I heard it was originally suppose to be just one season and the way they extended it was pretty badly done, so I never bothered to watch the later seasons. I might watch the first season if they decided to show it again or I managed to get a copy of the DVD-box, though.

Just started watching the modern version, the improva-ganza thing. So far I got to say, its slightly disappointing, but that maybe down to the sudden change in style after watching 'Whose line' all this time.

Talking of "Whose Line is it Anyway?", did anyone watch the short lived "Drew Carey's Green Screen Show"? It was a somewhat similar series as it was about improv, but it had the added gimmick of using a chroma screen behind the actors. I don't think it added much and the quality wasn't all that great, but there were some funny scenes here and there. I just thought I'd mention it in case you like "Whose Line..." and haven't seen it.

As far as I can remember, he was just the host and didn't take part in the improv-scenes, but it's been about five years since I saw bits and pieces of it, so I don't remember it all too well. Besides, it was a Friday night and I was at my mate's place, we were heading for a night out on the town and we'd been drinkin beer for a couple of hours by the time we started watching those clips, so I may not be the most reliable source on this. I know such a show exists, though. :happy001:

I still have to watch The Wire. Heard it's life-changing.

The thing is, on Netflix right now are tons of tv show options: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights, Lost. Plus my friends are lending me and my girlfriend Dexter. Too many choices! I do know that I will likely not start watching any new shows this season, as I just have too much on my tv-watching plate right now. Gotta get some work done at some point.

I need to watch The Wire as well!

Go with Dexter first, you wont regret it! Probably my favourite show of all time and season 6 just started. Prison Break should be on your list as well if you have not seen it, class series.

If you haven't seen The Wire, how can you possibly advise him to watch Dexter first! The Wire is absolutely brilliant, Ace, go for it!

True, but equally he's not in a position to say that Dexter should be watched first. He's not in a position to recommend it, but nor is he in a position to advise postponing it till after the viewing of Dexter.

Why pick one? Surely you can watch both Dexter and The Wire? Two great shows at once - can't get much better than that.

I've just seen like the first two seasons of Dexter. I have to watch the rest.

Soon the 2nd season of The Walking Dead starts so then I'll have yet another one to watch.

After I finish Queer As Folk (just over a season left now) I think I'll move on to Dexter.

Have you read the graphic novels? I've yet to see the television series, but the graphic novels are pretty good. I was surprised, as I didn't think I would enjoy them, but they're actually pretty decent.
