Wouldn't be suprised if we were to sell some of our youngsters. however, I'd be very suprised if one of them ere to be Stoch. I'd much rather we gave him some time at Chelsea before selling him. Surely he's got to be worth 2.5 million on the bench for us?

I think even if he were allowed to go, he wouldn't go for such pittance. 2.5mln for a player who just won the Eredivisie is a laughable sum of money.

That is a ridiculous rumor. Why would Carlo let someone like Stoch leave without even giving him a chance in the pre season?

i thing it is right to sell with back buy  like real do with negredo

just to remeber ribery take first step's of star at galatasaray then he went to marseille

We are not Real Madrid and I hope we do not proceed with the Stoch as Real did with Negredo.

Jesus, I nearly had a heart attack reading the title.

That would be a ridiculous, pathetic transfer. We got double that for Kezman, and he was a 26 year old who couldnt even hit a barn door.

If Stoch gets no chance to make the first team next year I will be very upset

He could hit the goal though in Holland

Could management be so dumb as to sell a 20 year old winger who is about to go to the World Cup? Even if, say, we've decided to sell him (say because Stoch is pessimistic about his playing time--he has said in the past he wants to be assured regular football next season, or they think he's too short, or he doesn't count as the home grown quota or something), why not wait to see if he has a good few games and his value rises above a paltry 2.5 million?

I hope it isn't true.

Spoke to someone today who said that Stoch had said while he was at Twente he made a comment about not wanting to come back to Chelsea. This was straight from the training ground at Cobham, so no link

Like other members that have posted so far I too hope that this rumour is not true. However it is likely that he will go which would be a massive shame in my opinion.

I agree with all of this, if we are to sell him then to do it just before a world cup in which he could shine and boost his price would be bloody stupid. This says to me the whole thing is garbage, they might want him and might put a bid in but it doesnt mean hes going.

Well, like Scott said, Miro was quoted as saying that he didn't want to come back to Chels just to go back to reserve team football and the odd sub appearance, which you can sort of understand after being a key player in a title winning team, so I guess it's down to whether Carlo and Co believe he's good enough to play a bigger role this season.

If he's not, and he isn't prepared to wait, then I guess we have no choice, unless we can strike another good loan deal, but these often seem to be the death of our youth players

Gah. Cant believe these quotes. Has he even talked to Carlo about his role next season, or is he just assuming he is on the outside looking in.

If thats true, there must be a big problem of trust at the club. If Stoch isnt good enough, are we waiting for the next JT to even give someone a shot at the first team?

While I agree with you, in part, the Negredo thing was actually a brilliant bit of business. Imagine us selling Stoch to Newcastle for 5 million, and inserting a buy back clause of 5 million. Its like no-lose

Got ESPN the magazine and Sports Illustrated yesterday, both have their World Cup previews, and both talked about how brilliant Stoch is, there is no way we'd do something like this, especially with the threat of Joey leaving.

....Unless he turns out to be sh*t in the prem and his value dips to less than the buy back fee

If he's sh*t, then we don't need to buy him back. Simple as that.

When Ancelotti talked about promoting youth players to the first team squad, I'm pretty certain he didn't mention Stoch. The ones mentioned were Gaël Kakuta, Fabio Borini, Patrick van Aanholt, Nemanja Matic and Jeffrey Bruma, which must have come as a blow to Stoch and a few others.

So it's understandable that the lad would be very reluctant to come back just to play reserve football.

Hope this isn't true. Even if he has no place in our plans, we should at least wait until after the World Cup as there's a good chance his value will increase.

He's one of the better youngsters in our squad though and based on some of Ancelotti's comments, I thought such players were going to get more playing time in the coming season.
