Maksimov Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 My predictions are as follows. South Korea v Greece 1-2 Argentina v Nigeria 3-0 England v USA 2-0 My bold predictions: South Korea v Greece 1-0 Argentina v Nigeria 2-0 England v USA 2-2
Maksimov Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Hmmm...just checked the results I entered into this World Cup prediction game I've entered and apparently I had the South Korea vs. Greece as 2-0 and not 1-0 like I first remembered, so that's my prediction instead of 1-0.
dkw Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I dont mean to sound racist here, but i love world cup games like this simply for the names. It takes the commentator so long to say the greek players names by the time hes finished the ball is at the other end of the pitch. PAPADOPOPOPADAPOLOUS....

It's no wonder Stylianos Giannakopoulos decided to use the name "Stelios" when he was in England. Edited June 12, 2010 by Maksimov
Maksimov Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Park makes it 2-0. I'm loving it. I've got 2-0 for this match in a World Cup prediction game and I've got Park in my World Cup fantasy football team.
Andreas Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 watching Argentina v Nigeria and Argentina already managed to score.
Maksimov Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) watching Argentina v Nigeria and Argentina already managed to score. Nigeria has had a few chances, but their shooting and final passes have been poor. Edited June 12, 2010 by Maksimov
Castiel Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Not really impressed with Argentina either, considering the squad they have.
undertow Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 verón? really? verón ffs... and gutiérrez at RB... while cambiasso and zanetti are sitting at home. did maradona borrow rafa's beard btw?
Castiel Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Messi has been completely unmarked for practically the whole game and its 1-0. But yes credit to Enyema, cracking keeping so far. I'll have to wait and see if England is shocking too later today, but so far this is raising my hopes.
CFCCAN Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I am deaf now....those horns are too much... can't concentrate...Argentina look threating but the goalie is standing oh his head...would like to Nigeria score though to make the game interesting and Maradonna squirm....
Ruh Buh Juh Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I don't see what's so annoying about the trumpetty things, I notice them to start off with, and I just forget about them in about 2 minutes.

Maksimov Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 (edited) You should watch back to back games on a replay.....then tell me after 2 mins you don't notice them.... Over here they're smart enough to mix the stadium noise quite low, so the vuvuzelas don't really bother me anymore. Edited June 12, 2010 by Maksimov
Hutch Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 You should watch back to back games on a replay.....then tell me after 2 mins you don't notice them.... to me the vuvuzelas (horns/trumpets) seemed far less intrusive on BBC than ITV. which is typical. ITV seem to have upped the volume, perhaps in the mistaken belief that this infernal bloody racket produces "atmosphere". no it doesn't it just gets on most people's nerves. it's a horrible noise - tuneless, grating, charmless, lacking in rhythm or melody or anything else except irritation value.
Phillip Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 verón? really? verón ffs... and gutiérrez at RB... while cambiasso and zanetti are sitting at home. did maradona borrow rafa's beard btw? Those are puzzling selections, especially Gutiierrez, but since he played very well, I guess Maradona must know something that we don't. Veron even looked good out there, but I am at a loss at why he is selected over the Inter tandem who did not even make the squad. The keeper is someone I don't know, and he looks a bit shaky, but was not really tested against Nigeria. Maradona needs to dye his beard like he dyes his hair, since it looks weird the way it is now.
Ruh Buh Juh Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Hilarious. In the England match, it did a Liverpool v Everton, where it went to adverts, and when it came back, England scored!! Hilarious!!
