Live concert being shown tonight on BBC4 (Freeview Channel 9), recorded at the Regal Theatre, Hitchin 1982! Should be great!

Squeeze were superb, I was watching top gear with Jools Holland on it yesterday and thought it was strange that he was in a group like them,

I loved some of the words, "I never thought it could happen with me and the girl from Clapham" "She didn't mind the language its the beating she don't need" "he took her in his Zephyr they sat like salt and Pepper"

could go on and on,

missed it now though I expect :(

One of my favourite Squeeze songs. So dark and dirty, I love it! I couldn't belive as I grew up that this was the same band that released "Tempted"

This might seem stupid but had Jools left them by this point? I honestly would never heard of them if it wasn't for him. Was watching a repeat of Later last night with Joe Strummer, f**k they have some magnificent acts on there.

That said Squeeze have some good sh*t, shame they named themselves after post Lou Reed Velvet Underground album, f**k can't believe they liked that.

Jools Holland left and rejoined the band during the 80s. Only Difford and Tilbrook are left from the original line-up, and they've had some mega bust-ups down the years.

Here's another early Squeeze tune, and even Tilbrook acknowledges that it sounds like a rip-off from the Muppets theme tune:
