The genius of Trigger

Featured Replies

The BEST tv series ever made by the BBC , thankfully along with the superb script , it included one of the best ever comedy characters in tv history . TRIGGER take a bow son [ sorry ] , you just waited for his contribution , i watched the original series when first broadcast knowing there was a classic on the way from Trigger , he never let me down , Trigger was not only a character that left you breathless with laughter , he was a character played by only one actor who could play him , genius comedy acting and timing , facial expressions , the way he stood , the way he dressed and the way Roger Lloyd Pack delivered that memorable comedy moment . GENIUS .

Aw, I was looking for Roy Rogers!

Only joking, Ian. These were great. My favourite was the middle one. "So what's Dave, then, a nickname?"

Every time I see this thread on New Content I read it as The Genius of Tigger and I come in expecting loads of bouncy bouncy fun fun fun!

I'm a little bit disappointed, but some of Trigger's lines were true laugh out loud funny, and Lloyd-pack's timing is some of the best in the business!

Top man Ian... I would agree, but a shout out for Nicholas Lyndhurts (spelling?) he is superb in these clips too...... he has also been in some sh*te sitcoms over the years but for some reason he makes it watchable for me, so I have always considered him very underrated too.

I think it is amazing to hear these two speak in real life very posh :shok:

What sh*te sitcoms has he been in? Butterflies in its day was good (I think) and so was Goodnight Sweetheart. I don't know what else he has been in.

Good night sweetheart is a good example, if it wasnt for him and the two ladies who played his other half in the 40's then that would be terrible in my opinion

then there was "the two if us" :pUKe:

I am sure there are more but I can't recal the names at the moment

Yes, I agree with you on Goodnight Sweetheart. I never saw The Two Of Us.

Minor claim to fame - I once went out with a bloke who sold his house to Nicholas Lyndhurst.

Never heard of him over here in the States. Also, two of the three youtube posts that were posted above are no longer working (pulled because of copyright issues), so I really could not get a good sense of that comedy series.

The Piglet Files was another Lyndhurst sit-com

Followed the life of reluctant MI5 agent Peter “Piglet†Chapman as he tries to instruct his fellow agents on the finer points of spy gadgetry while keeping his wife Sarah in the dark about his new career.

PANTS!!!!
