Saturday, 1st Sep 1923. We won 2-0 in front of 31,000.   Albert Thain and Sid Castle our scorers that Sept 1st day 96 years ago.

 Sat1st Sep 1934. We won 3 - 1 in front of a crowd of  20,084. Alec Cheyne and George Mills with 2 goals, our scorers.

Unfortunately we lost 3-2. They scored in the last minute ! In front of  50,207. Our scorers were Benny Jones and Tommy walker. 

 The great Jackie Milburn scored their first goal, Interesting kick off time of 6.15pm. Must have been a rush to get to The Bridge in time for kick off from work !

  Newcastle Utd away. Oct 1969. We won 1-0 with Peter Osgood scoring.
