Bit like the Neville brothers at Man U.

Jaap Stam called them “ a couple of busy sh*ts”

Never knew that about Jaap Stam and the Neville brothers at Man Utd.

After a big falling out in the early 1970s. Tommy Smith I've read, actually only spoke to Emyln Hughes on the pitch ! Never off it !!

Bit stingy the way the roof didn’t cover the benches.

It reminds me a bit of the main stand at Selhurst, except that had an enclosure.

Yes it always reminded me a bit of palaces stand, except the fan bases in each stand was definately a little different back in the day

From 23rd April 1983 - May 14th 1983.

Burnley away, losing 3-0 on 23 April.

Rotherham at The Bridge a 1-1 draw. Clive Walkers scoring. 30th April

SheffWed 1-1 at The Bridge David Speedie scoring. 2nd May.

Bolton away and a massively important 1-0 win. Clive Walker scoring, arguably the most important goal in our history. Sat 7th May

Boro and a 0-0 at The Bridge. Sat 14th May 1983.

We were very close to going down to Division 3.

The current Bolton Wanderers real crisis situation brought it back.

Shoot ! Magazine.  I've said it often enough I used to instantly relegate Spuds when the team tabs for the League Ladders came out. As shown in the cover of the above edition.

It was great when Ray Wilkins started writing his weekly column from Sept 77.

I thought I had 'inside info' from The Bridge.  I was only 10 to be fair:biggrin:

And Sept 1977  was well before the internet and instant communication...
