Hayes v Chelsea. Friendly match in the 1950s. Chelsea's Jock McNichol juggles a ball in the changing room before the match

Image result for ron harris v emlyn hughes

Ron 'Chopper 'Harris about to tackle Steve Heighway at The Bridge. Possibly FA Cup 4-2 game in Jan 1978 ?

Remember hearing a story .

Ron Harris had just taken out Emyln Hughes out in a game at Anfield.

Tommy Smith came up and told Harris: “I could get to like you.”

Hughes and Smith 'disliked each other' big time at Anfield during the 1970s.

Picture is blurred but is of the "infamous" game against Sunderland in 1985. Can't believe we're approaching the 35th anniversary. What a night.

It wasn't a fluke with big Doug, as he nearly did it again at Wembley in full members cup final, " Dougie's scored at Wembley"

The mother of all nights, still in top 3 games I've ever been to at bridge. I've said before on here, unless you were there you will never know the atmosphere that night. I was nearly 16 and me and a mate went with old man and his mate, parked up near old Fulham power station, me and mate left old man and his mate at car, you literally  could feel the atmosphere as you got out car, very moody, the crush at the Bovril gate getting in, crazy night. Next morning at school no one even mentioned score or took piss because we lost, just wanted to hear about the nights events, me and mate had our 15 mins of fame at school that day
