I voted for Mata but I dont understand why this is before the end of the season. I know a player cant define his season in 2 games but it could be a mind changer for many. So its player of the season -2 games.

can't help but feel some sadness when I see chelsea tv footage of some previous winners, particularly Joe Cole and Essien who won in 2008, 2007 respectively...their careers have both been screwed by knee injuries....

young player of the year has some mad names...Zeke Rowe, Chris McCann (?) Leon Knight, Rhys Evans, Nick Crittenden...have any of them done anything in their careers?!

Oh how I miss Joe Cole. Also, don't really follow the youngen's as much as I should but its hard as I never know when they play or how to get tickets for their matches?

they have to do it now...as soon as champs lge final is done, a lot of players will have to rush off to join up with Euro 2012 squads

ok...so the build up has finished...event proper is about to start...spoke too soon, some crap cover band are trying to do kanye west etc...luiz seems to like it though...only player clapping his hands from his seat!

interviewing JT, Chalobah and vivash at the moment, talking about fa cup and youth cup wins...jt said it was particularly great beating spurs and liverpool on way to winning the cup, both teams they 'don't like very much'!

piazon says luiz is like his second dad! said he hopes to stay at chelsea a long time, but rightly didn't get ahead of himself when asked when he will play for first team...just said we'll see what happens
