Me thinks that the Luiz cahil stuff was a ruse..I think they were always gonna be ready for next weekend...Just wanted to unsettle the germans

I agree. I always thought they would play and reckon that Jupp Heynckes will have thought so too. In these situations any trainer always assumes that the opposition will have their strongest team (barring suspensions or known serious injuries), available.

If they don't it's a bonus but you don't expect it.

I dont think we have known all along they would play, they havent trained and I don think we would try and pull a fast one by not having them train to try and confuse the opposition, that just doesnt make any sens.

Pretty sure Robbie has known all along (or at least in the past few weeks) that these two will be okay for Munich, I mean why should he reveal it? Keep Bayern on their toes, they may not have had minutes on the pitch but I'm sure they'll be match fit in time for Saturday. Fingers crossed..!

Whatever potential benefit we'd gain from fooling Bayern would be lost ten times over by them not training. Bayern's gameplan isn't going to change no matter who our center halves are. They'd simply have an easier go of it without Luiz and Cahill on the pitch, but they're going to use the same tactics.

I think it's obvious that RDM wanted them to play and it's possible he was a little more cautious because of that.

I don't think we would have tried to deceive Bayern into thinking they wouldn't play.

I'm happy to hear that both are in training though. We need them on that back line.

I wish we had them back before now so they couldve had a few minutes in our final league games, but I will take them anyway we can get them.

The way Cahill was playing before his injury I'd trust him to stop anyone.

100% agree, I don't think it's a case of 'let's lie to them' - more a case of well they look like they'll be okay but why promise/pass comment?
