Ryanair !ALERT!

Featured Replies

a quick heads up to all blues using the dreaded ryanair to get to munich or wherever.

they are working on their servers from friday afternoon and will hit each passenger not checked in online with a 60£ charge!!

i got this info from a money saving website so google it . the advise is to online check as early as poss .

CMON THE BLUES!...ps gotta suffer the coach with thomas cook ... !!1

So, just to be clear.. they are DELIBERATELY working on their servers on Friday afternoon to prevent people from checking in online? This is a planned strategy to line Michael O'Leary's pockets with even more money?

As Coco says, people need to be constantly reminded about this!

Saturday is also the Heineken Cup final at Twickenham between two Irish sides, Leinster and Ulster, so there are thousands of rugby fans flying to the various London airports from north and south of the Irish border. It strikes me as a typically g@b-sh!tey move by Ryanair and that d@uch bag O'Leary. I would never fly with them anywhere.

Sounds like the European version of Spirit airlines. Cut rate carrier, but you get what you pay for.

It wouldn't be so bad if you got what you paid for, because then you would at least know what the deal was. But Ryanair change the goal posts the whole time. For example recently they changed the size of hand luggage (reduced, of course!) So people turn up at check-in with hand luggage the size that other airlines accept, only to find that the dimensions are too large for Ryanair - £40 please! (more than the cost of the ticket you bought!)

I despise the likes of Ryanair, they were even debating charging a quid to go to the bog at one point as I remember, or was that sleazyjet ?

It's the same with everything and getting worse, my house contents insurance costs £9 p/m, last month they decided to take it out of my bank 2 weeks before they usually do and only 2 eeks after they had last taken a direct debit payment from me, because the funds werent available the insurance company charged me an £11 charge, and then the bank done me for £10 for returned D/D, so that's £21 total charges against a £9 installment, almost 200% over what I usaully pay, and all becasue they swapped the D/D dates, cunning and devious, and totally legal, welcome to fleece Britain.

They have the right to alter your payment date without informing you? That's absurd! If you'd paid 2 weeks before you still had 2 weeks to go before another payment was due. You should kick up a real stink about that, Coco - it can't possibly be legal to do that, surely?

Yes it is moi, honestly, I've been told by my bank that D/D payments are not the same as a standing order which is a set amount on a set date, D/D's can be any amount any time.

It was Ryanair, they also wanted to try and have passengers standing in the aisle for flights.

I'm sure someone from the banks will be along to put us right, plenty of wbankers on here.

Stories like yours make me want to believe in hell fire! With a special niche reserved for the wbankers!

My dad who is 74 has been stung three times the last few months on his car insurance in exactly the same way, he made sure the money was in the bank who then took it early the following month when the money wasnt in to cover it.

It makes me sick, my dear old dad aint exactly well off & yet the bank robs him blind, scum.

We have booked Ryanair to Memmingen but ive already checked in and got the boarding passes, however, the flights that we are on cost us £270 return a couple of weeks ago (price had been bumped before we booked btw), one of the mates who couldnt commit until last week saw the price of his return flights leap to just over £400 .... checked yesterday and the flights are now sitting at £200 ... what a bunch of Paddy bassa's .... i hate ryanfeckinair :steaming:

... what a bunch of Paddy bassa's .... :steaming:

No need for the insulting language sonny. BTW, as far as I know Ryanair do not show any discrimination on nationality, creed or anything else when they add on their "extras".

Yes let's not blame the whole population of Eire for Michael O'Leary's crimes!

Way off topic here ..... but if you had to put up with the crap that we are getting then Paddy Bassa's is quite tame really :steaming:

In our local paper today .....

An Irish republican group has applied to hold a second procession in Denny.

Cairde na hÉireann wants to parade through the town on Saturday, June 2. (Which so happens to co-incide with the Queens Diamond Jubilee weekend .... strange that :Connie_threaten: )

The Glasgow-based organisation previously held a march through the town in April last year.

Cairde na hÉireann, which translates as Friends of Ireland, describes itself as “the national structure for republicans in Scotlandâ€.

Its stated aims include campaigning for a united Ireland and supporting “initiatives aimed at improving the material conditions of the Irish community in Scotlandâ€.

IRA supporting scumbags and If some people are so fond of Eire then ... why dont they go home

Hold on mate not all Irish are scumbags .

Of course you're not, liamski - I have never met an Irishman yet that I didn't like.

Can we remember the point of this thread is to make sure those with RyanAir flights check in online before Friday afternoon!

Shocking, this is why out of the two I always go for EasyJet - not the greatest but rather them than Ryanair..
