Us or United

Featured Replies

A bit early yet I admit, but I think it will come down to us and Man U for this season.

For me, Man City aren't the real deal.

And Arsenal look really unwell.

Liverpool? Ha!

Anyone Else?

Fergie's team always seem to win or get close. They are the ones to worry about.

But we're looking pretty good ourselves.

Who do you think we have to worry about?

I suggest you look at their squad.

Yeah, you're right and they are strong. And BestBetting.com has them as favorites, and they pulled out a good win today.

So I'm just going on a gut instinct.

They only won the league by a few minutes last year.

But yes OK - City or Utd are the worries.

Citeh have played like sh*t this year and yet they still haven't lost. They just beat a very solid West Brom whilst down a man. It goes without saying that they have an incredibly talented roster. Their defense is a bit spotty, but certainly no weaker than United's and Citeh have a better keeper. They're certainly for real, although I don't think they'll reach their full potential unless they get a better manager.

I think I maybe have a distorted view of Utd. I think it comes from the last 10 years or so. But they are the ones that worry me.

But Mata, Oscar, Hazard is beautiful and makes me happy!

I don't think you have a distorted view of United necessarily, but I think you're significantly underrating Citeh.

You're right.

I think you need to wait another 3 months before this becomes a serious question....

It's already serious.

If there is another team that might emerge in three months, then I would like to know who?

Arsenal?

Spurs?

Everton?

Liverpool?

Newcastle?

spurs and arsenal.......

they are both very much capable of mounting a challenge, maybe lacking strength in depth but it only takes one good run to be right up there as we say last season.

How anyone can rule city out is beyond me, obviously you forget what happened the year we were defending our title under ancelotti. I am happy with this team but its the games coming up against the manchester teams that if we were to lose both then all of sudden we are two points behind, we and them win the games inbetween.

some people seem to be getting a bit to cocky i think probably due to the Champions league win but they are two very different kettles of fish !

Spurs?

If I had to bet my house...

33% chance we win

20% chance Man U win

19% Man City win

Actually, and unfortunately I do.

Red Nose, Shrek and Welbeck will be within two points of us, either ahead or behind in three months.

Spurs?

If I had to bet my house...

33% chance we win

20% chance Man U win

19% Man City win

what about the other 28%

and sure why not spurs ? they were missing there two best players yesterday and they gave us a good contest.

do i think they will win the title ? No but i wouldn't rule them out of putting up a good challenge by any means

If one HAD to bet it would have to be Man utd...Because they really are experienced in eaking wins from dust...Chelsea , thus far look good but no one knows how we ll adjust when the season progresses and injuries happen to major players...City..Great squad but seem to be out of sorts and have trouble in the camp..Arsenal Sleeping giants..Never know with them..Now RVP has gone ill take a risk and underestimate them...Spurs..Well they are capable of good football and goals but i just dont and wont allow my mind to allow that they could end higher than us...

Everton are the Newcastle of last year.

Chelsea

United

City

Tottenham

Everton

Arsenal..

I just can't see arsenal being good this year, they lost RvP and they are not in a good run now but who knows. This is only my opinion and i am very confident that we will win it this year. Beat Manchester United in the 2 comming games (PL for points and League Cup for confidence) and we can start to early celebrate(but not like United did last year with the Champ20ns shirts, that was embarresing for them). My 2 cents.

City are getting this title winning results ad remember they're unbeaten like us it's definitely a 3 horse race. I'll be honest I still don't think we will win it, bit worried about losing Mikel in January and also an injury to Torres and we coud be screwed upfront. Time will tell.

I think Citeh are much more of a threat. United's midfield is not that strong & big cracks in the defence with Vidic injured again & Evra losing it.

I don't think Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool are anywhere close to achieving title challenging consistency for differing reasons.

However, both the Manchester clubs will be right there at the end of the season and while we are probably hot favourites right now to take the trophy home in May, any sensible mind would not discount Manchester City.

They blew away West Brom despite being a man down and away from home. They're also the only team that go into all 38 games this season as a favourite and with good reason.

Are u being serious when u say, OP, that u don't think City are a threat? City have ridiculous funds, a world class squad, a strong bench and experienced players. They are the English champions having managed to claw back an 8 point deficit on United last season. They fought back from being a goal down to winning yesterday playing with ten men almost the whole game. Of course they are a massive threat. But United, despite the fact they're average and have been for two years, will always be up there cos they just know how to win. I think we are capable of winning the league if we can keep our best players fit, but both United AND City are a big threat. Arsenal and Spurs aren't strong enough, and Liverpool will have done very well if they finish in the top 6.

For me City are far more of a threat than United. Lets not get carried away here. We are outsiders.

I believe going forward we are as good as anyone including City but at the back were shakey. I'm far more confident of beating United than I am City at the Bridge, we really should be beating this United side. Rio and Evans are dogsh*te

City sure loves to create last minute dramas. How many times have they done that? When we play them, we need to watch out for them in the last few minutes of the game. I consider them more a threat than United. Plain and simple. lol 2-3 against the team we beat 2-4

The way United have played for large portions of the past two seasons, most of the bigger teams in the EPL really should be beating them. I honestly can't figure out what it is with them but i know most United supporters can go and watch their team play safe in the knowledge that even if they're shoite, they will probably still win. City have started pulling a United the past year though grabbing injury time winners etc. And i suppose cos we finished 6th last season we have to be considered outsiders. 6th to 1st would be a huge jump to make, despite the fact we added Hazard and Oscar recently. We'd be playing Europa League football had we not won the CL, we have to remember that. But i'm optimistic, i really am. We're looking good.
