Plymouth manager Ian Holloway:

"Scott, who's on loan from Chelsea, is a great talent and his goal was superb.

"We're just going to hope Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho doesn't watch it on TV because we want to keep him for a bit longer.

"They are going to want to take him back and I'd be an idiot if I thought that I'd be able to hold on to him."

Loved the end of the video:

Manager: "He belongs to Chelsea. He belongs to Chelsea all right."

Interviewer: "So you won't be trying to sign him?"

Manager: "I won't sign him long term will I? I won't be able to. They aren't stupid are they? Hopefully they won't be watching the tele tonight."

a great goal, and I really hope that Jose was watching to see that tonight. A youth team player with prospect...salivating at the thought!

A few decent goals so far this weekend. Obviously Scott's is one.

Rooney's (although the quality of it was somewhat blown out of proportion by the commentators) was very good but not even the best of the day.

Better than Rooney's was possibly, Scott's (granted the opposition were not strong though) but definitely City's 2nd goal against Boro (by Scott Murray) - the technique for that finish was sublime.

run forest run!!!!!!!!! How fast was that?...Could represent us at the olympics as well!!!! but as for goal of the montn forget it...pundits' favourite rooney will get it

ESPN, a channel mainly focused on American Football, Nascar, Baseball etc at the end of each day of sports has their "daily top 10." Rooney even made it to#2 or #3 on there yesterday!!! Even the commentators calling him a super sub etc.

I love that he has been on a drought, and then scores one and they call it amazing. Sheva doesn't score fro a while, the knives are out, comes back and scores 2.....anything?

You lot have only seen it on TV screens trust me it looked 10 times better to people who were actually there. This kid is amazing he seems to get bursts of energy from anywhere. Do you think we will be able to keep him until the end of the season 128.gif

And you are right Ollie is hilarious and also a legend

Brilliant, brilliant goal. Had everything. Pace, touch, control and finish.

Very reminiscent of a young George Weah.

From Beeb's Quotes of the Week:

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway after Scott Sinclair's dazzling solo goal against Barnet.

Having watched the Sinclair goal against Barnet again it does raise a concern about the fact he looks entirely one footed. OK it seems a bit critical given that he scored the goal but normally in a run like that down the left flank you would not expect a player to use nothing but his right foot the entire time.

Is this particular goal misleading? Is he capable with his left foot as well?

Can anyone who has watched him for the reserves (or Dave the Green) put me straight on this.

If he were to be that reliant on just his right foot then that would seriously hamper his chances of making the grade at the hghest level.
