Has Carlo moved down the pecking order of Goalkeepers? Cech now back in his rightful position as No1 choice but Hilario is getting the nod ahead of Carlo in th PL, whilst getting on the bench in the FA Cup on Sunday?

I'm interigued by the Carlo situation, for some time there was no mention of an injury on the "Official" web site , whilst Hedman fill in on the bench, now Hedman is injured Carlo seems to be 3rd choice icon_confused.gificon_confused.gif

Hi Ossie!! icon_lol.gif i`m also strongly worried about 2nd choice.... icon_lol.gif

Cudicini and Hilario are rotating with no logic order..... icon_lol.gif

It seems Jose Mourinho don`t know about our Prediction League.... icon_lol.gif

Unfortunately not, as I have been getting the reserve keeper consistently wrong recently (the same as everybody else I hope) !

I'd rather have Hilario on our goal anytime. Sad, but true. When Carlo plays, every ball that is heading towards our goal scares the living sh*t out of me. icon_redface.gif

exactly the same feeling for me, but just the other way round

Carlo is so much the better keeper that, in my mind, it's not even a serious question.

Carlo has one weakness and it's always been there, even before the arrival of Cech, (who is the best in the world for me). Carlo sometimes has difficulties dealing with high balls swung into the box under pressure. Yes, it's a weakness but it's one that 90% of top flight keepers suffer from if the quality of the cross is good, it goes in the right area, and there are enough bodies fighting to get on the end of it.

On everything else Carlo is top quality. Reflexes, agility, shot-stopping, distribution, organizing his back line, reading the play. Hilario has nowhere near the same quality and level of performance. It's a disgrace he is getting the nod over Cudicini.

Carlo vs Hilario is on a par with saying Highland Park vs Whyte & Mackay!

BosnianFanatiC.F.C - I am gobsmacked that you think Hilario is a more competent and reliable keeper than Carlo. I have stuck up for Hilario on here but my sticking up for him has been with the perspective that he is a 3rd choice keeper and should be judged as such.

Carlo is an immeasurably more competent goalkeeper

hilario is a good keeper for third choice.

cudicini is a quality first choice standard keeper that would get into many big sides across europe.

my only thinking behind jose prefering hilario would be that hilario accepts he is a back up, whereas cudicini is someone who would fight for a place... i.e. it is easier to man manage hilario.

Highland park is for P*ssies, so terrible relation!

Hilario is the equivalent of "house" whisky in comparison to something tough like Laphroig

Wash your mouth out - Laphroaig is a class whisky but Highland Park is also top quality.

You're just being an Island b*tch because Orkney beat Mull at the annual Jumper Knit Off

Got to agree with that. My favourite malt has got to be Glenmorangie though. It was only about 18 months ago on my trip to God's Own Country that I found there were loads of different types of Glenmorangie - I'd only been used to the usual bottle sold in English boozers icon_eek.gif

Naturally I had to sample them all in a bar in Aberfeldy - with inevitable results asking24.gificon_lol.gif

And this is the creme de la creme of them (well in the moderately priced range - I'm not including the silly bugger priced ones)

This is Glenmorangie Artisan Cask - it has only been around for about 20 years or so and it is top top drawer. Quite probably my favourite malt (I also place the Glenmorangie range as my number one in terms of the big brand names - there are other lesser known whiskies which I would place above Glenmorangie but you tend to only get them ins epcialist stores or if you go on the Whisky Trail - I drank a lot of them in my month in Elgin)

yeah but in the same breath I am "bigging up" a malt from Islay, an island who is renowned for trash talking in the same Jumper Knit Off competition. Their total lack of respect almost made me start on Talsiker, but then that comes from Skye!!!

btw Glenmorangie is a nice drop. Dalwhinnie isn't a bad one either. Some of the Glenmorangie (the glen of tranquility) that are in different casks offer some subtle differences that are quite refreshing 139.gif

This might be the best ever thread drift since the web was invented.

Carlo v Halario turned into "Whisky Talk". clap2.gif

Pushing "Last topic" button in a CarlovsHilario thread you ,at once, get a feeling that something happens in a training camp, or somebody gets discipline problems....really nice picture icon_lol.gif

just finnished a bottle of it on saturday night. Quite possibly my favourite. Laphroig is a close call, but it is one of those two. Lagavulin possibly edges it solely because it isn't quite as harsh.

however it all depends on what you are in the mood for, but lagavulin will never be rejected when offered to me...infact not many whiskies will (malts that is)
