Chelsea in the 70's

I wanna pass out...These are good pics.....In the first pic one knows EXACTLY what thoughts are in their heads

I love the last one Chelsea away Euston station about 1970 ...

I miss the edge, always having to keep an eye out, what has happened to our youth, they are an altogether different breed today.

Mate your post could go along with mine & a few others in the new ground thread in the general thread.

Regards our youth for 10+ years we had a quality youth firm who took it everywhere, once they were known by plod it got harder, they can still pull numbers but with loads jailed & banned & the risk of bird they've gone off the radar like most firms old & new, but any decent cup draw or certain PL game then watch this space..

CB I was refering to British youth in general, I never doubted our younger Chels and understand what I may describe as modern restrictions with a mixture of tourists thrown in for good measure.

I am personally a bit off of the youth bracket as you may have gathered from my posts. in fact a long way off

3rd pic down ... is that the Chelsea 4 - 3 Bolton match ???

Looks like it could well be. If so, then that's Big Sam flat out in their box having scored our winner from Clive Walker's cross. Brilliant pic - never seen it before.

I was sitting in the benches on this day with the wife and a few mates, probably a bit nearer the halfway line and so out of shot.

On youtube there is a video of our "YOUTH", although they dont look it...There are 5 of em just walking into a west ham held pub and doing their stuff.....Outside west ham can be seen to be excitable behind cops while the chelsea boys are still trying to get at the spammers....I didnt think this existed in latter years but this was recent and i felt proud of the so called YOUTH

Nice one Mike haven't seen that one before. After one of the prem games a couple of years ago my mate offered about 150 spammers out, f**kin daft I know they laughed at him but no one stepped up probably thought he was insane. I know the youth were up to no good in the dam so nice one with the vid.

That was a mix of old heads & youth but mainly youth, WHU came by boat & were in the Cock, some of there's also got "Ironed" out by the Malsters, few got pulled for it but NFA was taken, luckily enough.

Thats not the 1st time our youth have had it with older WHU either, (cant go in to to many details) but afterwards a WHU bod rung one of ours to praise our youth up for being game as f'ck, smaller numbers but WHU got run twice before snatching a late result but praise was well earnt that day, so i was told.

Read about it all on the Millwall LLG forum.

I don't! I was at the Jan 2nd QPR match, the first Chelsea game I'd been to in a very long time. It was a great evening, despite that we lost, because from the moment I hit the Kings Road things felt different to the way it all was when I first started going to games many years before. The whole atmosphere had changed, it felt relaxed, chilled, safe...  and not before time. I don't want an "edge" or to feel the need to constantly keep an eye out when I go to watch football thanks very much!

On another note, that 4-3 match against Bolton... I was there. What a game! I'm so glad I didn't do as many did and leave 10 minutes before the whistle blew.

I'll have a look mate i dont go on there that much, do you mean the row in the vid or the one i mentioned?

Pimlico mate.  I didn't know about the video one until a couple of weeks ago when I came across a casuals forum with links to loads of surveillance footage.

Just had a look mate, sums it up perfectly well the Chelsea version lol, i dont post on there as i think its a bit iffy with it being an open forum & the subject matter.

Have you seen this CFC v Stoke video?

Not sure if this is the vid but I bumped into a few stoke fans in the old white heart, across the road from Fulham broadway on cup final day v Portsmouth they were with JM, old England pals or something. They were telling me they attacked a Chelsea pub but came a poor second if this was the case you cant really tell much from this vid. Funny how one moment your at war the next minute your having a pint!

Thats the same game as the Stoke bod was talking about mate, they turned up twice in one day at one of our pubs & got done, then again the same season in the cup & got done again with one Stokie hiding in a kebab shop & locking the door behind him when it got gassed through the letter box!!

They deserve all the praise they got for that, some of our main rivals could learn a thing or two from Stoke on where to pay us a visit.

You'll be surprised just how pally certain "rivals" are away from match days.

Cheers for that mate, they mentioned the north end road but cant tell from the vid but it was the right bus route. They didn't seem the smartest bunch and one was a forest fan? One of the fella's brought me a pint so I wont knock 'em too much! I've always consider stoke game, went there a few years ago in the FA cup on a Sunday, loads of grief from fellas in Burberry caps if I remember correctly, lol!

Yeah they landed by mini bus mate, fair play to em mores the point it also proves we aint got a washed up dinasour firm like some claim.

I went to that cup game in 02, we didnt take many firm wise as the week before we'd taken 250 to Birmingham, who saw our numbers & said we cant match your lot lol!
