A reminder of when international football was good

never played with anywhere near the same style since that 82 side...they chose to tighten up and play a more European way...yes two world cups since then, but those teams weren't that memorable

I remember the 2002 team pretty well. Ronaldo having a great tournament with 8 goals (imagine a striker scoring like that in next years WC), Rivaldo having an arguably better tournament than Ronaldo, Ronaldinho emerging onto the scene.Probably not as good as the 82 team (haven't seen them play) but still a great team IMO.

And with Cafu and Carlos bombing forward playing like wingers.

I thought Ronaldinho's lob over Seaman in 2002 was fairly stylish.

International football has been sh*t the last few years because Spain have been mincing everyone and their style of play is so boring, but with them possibly on the decline, and the likes of Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Belgium starting to come back, hopefully 2014 will be the best international tournament for quite a while.
