Is it worth buying FM14? Or should i stick with FM13? Is there much improvement?

 

Massive improvements. I would hold out until the Christmas sale on Steam though where it will no doubt be 50% off.

 

 

Successfully won the FA Trophy and Skrill Premier in my 2nd season with Newhaven Town.

 

After changing the squad almost completely, I am predicted 1st and my players attributes are among the best in the league.

 

I've always found League 2 easy so I want to win the title and hopefully get to the latter stages of the domestic cup.

You can get a steam key from cjs cdkeys for 22 pounds, I doubt steam will go lower than that.

Is it just me or are the average ratings for players (with worse stats) in AI teams way higher than players in our own?

Started a new game...unemployed, sunday league footballer. Applied for everything at the start, got nothing out of 4 or 5 interviews. Set up holiday/apply for everything...got an interview and the job, in October. Making it hard to build my squad properly unfortunately.

 

On the bright side, played 3, won 3. On the down side, my squad is threadbare.

Bought it last night frmo Game for £19.99

Started a season unemployed and took a job in the Danish 2nd division West. Reasonably solid at the back so far, but 4 games into the season we haven't scored a bloody goal yet!

I got mine with a team in the third tier of Spanish football. Interestingly, the Spanish third tier has 4 separate leagues (somewhat like North and South in England I guess?)

I just lost this match 4-0. This is after conceding 9 goals in the first 16 league games. 

 

Started a few careers but couldn't get into it. So used the editor to create a new team and stuck them in the English Southern League Division 1 South West and left the squad blank so I could sign a new team.

Mid table at the moment.

My desktop has decided to die on me, no FM for the foreseeable. Probably for the best, in all honesty...

I will miss your stories sir. 

 

They gave me the inspiration to go back into Lower League Management.

Anyone up for a Lower League challenge?

Ie. we all pick a team from a certain level, e.g. Regional Premier Divisions (Level 7) and try and get the team as high as we can?

This is ridiculous. Jose first goes to manage City, gets sacked, goes to Tottenham, gets sacked and is now managing Newcastle!

Completely sick and fed up of the wing play on this game. Almost every time they try and kick the ball of a player to win a corner and it never works! JUST F****** CROSS IT MAN!!

As per usual on all FM games, I screw up my bid for promotion right in the last 5-10 games of the season. Then all my best players refused to sign a new contract and buggered off elsewhere for free.

And now he's close to getting sacked by Newcastle 6 games into the season.

Yeah I know, right? They were also comfortably 3rd in the league behind us and Manu and AVB's skills are way to good (man management, motivating, level of discipline 16? :D). To make them more loveable they just bought Suárez... Here's hoping that they crash and burn next season.

Son of a bitch...3 seasons as Sestao and I've made no progress...keep missing out on the top 4 by almost nothing.

 

This time, I am in 3rd going into the last game. There are 2 teams capable of knocking me out, and my last game is against...the top team in the league...away.

 

I draw 3-3, but fall down to 5th, finish 2 points behind 2nd place, 1 point behind both 3rd and 4th. I'm pissed off.
