I spent all of tonight's FM time in pre-season for season number 4...I just had too much to do :/

 

But I've made some changes to my squad, and it's now much stronger than last year, certainly in terms of depth.

The two teams have quite good depth to be honest. CB's I'm covered for, for a decade if need be. 4 high quality options. Midfield is interesting...I don't have stand out players, but 4 good options. Might yet need to make a big signing in January for that position. AM's are fine, and rotating those players shouldn't leave me too vulnerable. Lukaku is first striker, but I'm eager to see what Gabbiadani can do, and failing that, I still have young Fitzy. Most of the spare (aside from Ake and Musonda), are regens, and all those players will play plenty of reserve football too.

So its not longer Chelsea! Where is the loyalty?

Btw the new FM is now out for the iphone. This year you can use the cloud to save games which means you can play the game on iphone and ipad with the same save. This has bugged me for the last couple of years why didnt they do this sooner?

This is the team I currently have on FM13 so I'm not that keen on getting the new one yet. If you have seen a better created team in your life then let me know!

Could try going abroad for a better chance of a job? Thought Cambridge were bang out of order tbh. 

 

I've opted for a job in Ireland, Bohemians have suffered a couple of relegations so getting them back up to the first division will be a fun challenge. It's a short season as well, so it's probably the quickest way for me to get a team into Europe and raise my reputation.

 

 

I'm not going to go back to England until my reputation is good enough for a job in the Championship.

Chelsea transfers, decided to go after Marquinhos to replace David Luiz. With James Ward-Prowse coming through MVG became surplus to requirements, quite happy with the fee I got for him. I accidentally inserted a minimum fee release clause in Juan's contract so Real pounced, unfortunately. They could have had him for as low as 22 million, I put the extra five down to my good relationship with Carlo.

 

Time for De Bruyne to step into the Little Juan's shoes!

Well my second season has come to end. Unfortunately, Barca got their revenge for knocking them out of the CL last year:

 

 

I blame a injury-hit squad and poor form from some of my players. Ramires, Eden Hazard and Willian all picked up long-term injuries towards the end of the season. Hazard and Willian got 15 and 18 goals respectively this season so to lose both of the at the same time was a huge blow. Despite this, I managed to limp across the finish line to claim my second PL title:

 

 

 

Positives:

 

• Winning the PL, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
• Eden Hazard signing a new long-term contract and scoring 15 goals.
• Willian cementing the right winger spot. He was unstoppable until he got his injury.
• Jackson Martinez. 24 goals this season, not bad for the £26m I paid for him.
• Nathaniel Chalobah, he cemented his place in the first team squad alongside Ramires.
• Dave winning Players 'Player of the Year'.
• Juan Mata making the PL 'Team of the Year' (and pocketing a £1.3m bonus for the honour).

 

Negatives:

• My defence needs refreshing. We concede too many last-minute goals so fitness is a cause for concern.
• Andre Schurrlle - had a very poor season after his stormer of a debut. Will get the benefit of the doubt because of his first season and only being 25 years old.
• Demba Ba - was injured all the time and when he did play was terrible! Will be sold.
• Facundo Ferreyra - Sorry guys, he flopped! Scored two goals in half a season and was generally poor when he didn't score. I will try to recuperate the £16m I paid for him.
• Romelu Lukaku - Was poor during the first half of the season so I loaned him to Shaktar, but then scored 9 goals in 13 matches. Deserves a second chance.

 

Hopefully Roman is in a generous mood for next season as I need a bumper transfer kitty!

Currently 11th in my season,improved a lot won a couple in the Premiership and won two games in the Capital Cup defeating Arsenal 4-0.Won two in the group stage of the UCL and drew one.My league form is concerning since i already lost four and all of them away.My current team is similar to the one we use now apart that i frequently give a chance to Chalobah in the defense and in the midfield very pleased with him.I'll post some screen shots soon.

Yep, I'd only just done it as well so he wouldn't sign a new deal.

Just lost 3-0 to Spurs. Never been more disgusted with the team. No discipline in the game...got 5 yellows (Luiz ended up getting sent off). They scored 2 penalties, and got a third when I overloaded despite having 10 men. Azpilicueta played at 4.9. What a guy.

AVB was sacked from Spurs in my save. They took Laudrup from Swansea, Swansea was relegated.

My favourite is Liverpool. They sacked Rodgers for finishing 10th, rehired Benitez (who was sacked from Napoli). Benitez finished 12th, was sacked again.

In my game Benitez was sacked by Napoli, who then signed Mourinho (after all, I took his job), then sacked Mourinho, and hired Benitez again.

As you can see, my attempts to strengthen my defence was a roaring success. All the players I wanted were too expensive! I got a fee and contract agreed with Mangala, only for him to blow his cruciate and fail the medical! So frustrating!

 

Also, nobody wants to sign Matic! I haven't got a space left in my squad for him and keeps rejecting loan moves. Looks like he's going to get the 'Malouda treatment'.

 

Not a bad start to my third season.

 

Definately try and get Zouma...he's amazing. In his first season for me he averaged 7.35, this season so far, 7.59.

 

City must feel like right duds for selling me Nastastic for 6.5mil...he's playing at 7.45, and recently scored 2 goals as I beat City 3-0.

Whew, what a season. We started out horrendously and couldn't string a good run of results together, eventually I ditched our 4-2-2-2 formation and opted for a more conventional 4-4-2 spearheaded by a poacher and a false nine: from that point on we improved dramatically.



We only went top on the final day of the season, it was a huge relief.

Promotion achieved, but the best was yet to come. We managed to go on a good run in the cup and ended up in the final, where we would face Premier Division champions Cork City.

Brilliant, couldn't have wished for more from my first Bohs season, we've now got Europa League football to look forward to!

Decided not to make wholesale changes, though in truth we can't really attract much talent that is better than what we've got. Roberto Lopes has stabbed me in the back, I promised him promotion and delivered but he refused to re-sign. If that wasn't bad enough, he's gone and signed for Shamrock Rovers! What a bar steward.

A bit of backheel magic.

I'm going crazy...there have been some awful performances from some of my players, and I'm making changes I probably shouldn't be.

 

Out goes De Bruyne to PSG for more than 40mil, in comes Lucas Moura as a direct replacement for 27. De Bruyne somehow slipped to 2 1/2 stars, again after a 3 month injury. I just keep getting that length injury to my key players...and they come back so much worse, it's frustrating as hell.

 

Cesar has been woeful this season...Jeronimo has been garbage in CM, (in fairness all my CM's have been bad, but he's been especially bad). Lukaku has been bad. Somehow I'm still top despite some truly terrible games, and some very mediocre ratings from key players. Into the final of the CC after using a second string team throughout the comp.

I tried but they wouldn't accept anything less than £55m for him. PSG wanted £233m for Marqinhos. Crazy prices!
