I was there the night he kissed the cock but after his numerous apologies I figure he should be forgiven, but all that aside, what an incredible job he's done at Sunderland. Dead and buried when he took over and now safe with a game to go. Well done Poyet

Done it in style too, beat us, United and got a point against City when it should have been 3! Credit where it's due.

He's a good manager, did well at Brighton and I think he'll improve Sunderland next season. If results go their way next weekend they could finish 12th! Well done to him.

He did brilliantly to clear up the shambles Di Canio left behind at Sunderland and he did a fantastic job with Brighton before that, taking them from the depths of League 1 into the Championship and losing out on promotion to the Premier League in the playoffs to Palace. The manner of his dismissal from Brighton and the "cock kissing" incident mean there might be some question marks over his character but he's clearly got a knack for football management.

Don't forget that Poyet guided Sunderland to Wembley this season as well. Good job on him & I wouldn't be surprised if he pipped Pulis for MOTY.

All of the cock stuff aside.

Manager of the year for me.  A ridiculous run in, and managed to pull it off with a game to spare.  Never seen a run like that to prevent being promoted - even if he did derail our title run on the way.

That win against us was in large part due to the refereeing team being from Liverpool, but aside from that Sunderland have been great these last few weeks and definitely deserve to stay up ahead of those miserable bar stewards Norwich.

As far as I'm concerned Liverpool beat us that day, not Sunderland.

Credit to them though. If anyone was to break Jose's unbeaten record I'm glad it was someone who needed the points to stay in the league.
