BLUENUT
If Manu progress tonight, and possibley Arsenal, there will be 4 English side in the quarters (last 8), realistically 3 as I don't think Arsenal are going to do it without the away goal. 2 of these side will definatley meet in the next round. I've got a funny feeling we're going meet either Liverpool or Manu in the next round!! You read it hear first, Liverpool in the quarters, Manu in the semi....... oh and when's the draw - Friday? RedRobMol
the ideal scenario for me. Arsenal go out now, you lot draw United (dont care who wins), we draw Valencia, then they get thrown out for the fighting. Bye to the semi's where we draw AC Milan and remind them of their pain in Istanbul then we can all go on hiliday to Greece to bring home number 6. Optimistic, moi? I think your yesterday`s perfomance against Barca was better than our`s one at group stage. First half was really impressive, Barca`s attacking trio was fully denied and cut off the ball Though we had deservly won and you lost, but you win the tie, that`s just enough. And both your last home losses are bad luck, I think. So, if you were unable to beat MU in Premier League, please, do it in Champions League. Hopefully MU will be your next opponent(dont care who wins). And hopefully we`ll play Roma or AC Milan. And we can meet in final, where we will win 1-0 , scoring the same goal as we had conceeded 2 years ago. Justiful??

Although we have had the better of you lot in the cups before, our overall record againt you, the Arse and United is very poor, so if we face you, it would really be 50-50 in my eyes as to whether we would get through. BackInBlue
Well, I'd much rather meet the English sides later than right now TBH. I think Valencia should be easiest option right with all their bans being handed out.
TT
I would much prefer to avoid the English sides (and also arsenal ). For a start, the games just don't seem like Champions League. As much as I would be confident to go through against any of them, the hurt if we were to lose is 100 times greater than going out to someone else (remember Liverpool). The thought of that happening again gives me nightmares.
BlueBosnian
Barcelona is out, Inter is out, and Lyon is out. Three teams who, at the start of the CL, I thought would go very far and would be very dangerous. The door is wide open for us, only if we would start playing already, it could be ours. The Moos
Chelsea are going to win the champions league this year. None of these teams should scare us. I don't know. There are teams that I know can make life difficult for us. The remaining teams are: Bayern M?nich Liverpool ManU Valencia Roma Milan PSV PSV doesn't scare me much but I have to admit that I haven't seen them play. Milan would usually scare me but they haven't impressed in the league or in the CL. If Celtic had gotten a penalty (which they should have) then Milan could have been out now. The rest of the teams are a bit more tricky. Bayern shouldn't be a huge problem but one should never underestimate the germans. They can make life difficult for you (especially if you're french). Roma has a great offense and if we don't have JT back we will have some real problems against them. I'm also a bit scared because their players are the kind of players who fall down in a slight breeze. They make Christiano Ronaldo look like a fair player. That can be a problem for us unless the ref sees right through it. I can see the Messi/Del Horno incident flash before my eyes. ManU are good. We just have to look at the league table to see that. They have been playing a bit worse lately but I still feel that we might have some trouble against them. Liverpool kicked Barcelona out of the tournament. Enough said. They can beat any team if they feel like it. If we have a full team then we might beat them over two games. Valencia has a really strong defence and their attack isn't bad either. Their run in the league might effect them but I still feel that they can beat us. So I would like to rate the teams I want us to face like this: PSV Milan Bayern Valencia Roma ManU Liverpool Of course that is just based on how good I think they are. I wouldn't mind taking on Pool in the next round. That can be two great games. I'm just scared it might get us knocked out
Butch
Of all the teams left in the tournament, I feel we should keep an eye out for Milan (class) and Liverpool (passion). Those two could give us different kinds of problems if we played them. The rest? Provided we played the way we can, we more than match them. As a matter of fact, we'd be favorites. Why? PSV - Good team, but apart from Alex, and maybe Farfan, can you name any of their players? Would Alex even be allowed to play? Man Utd - In recent history, everytime we've played them we've outplayed them. Sure, results have not always gone our way but I'd fancy our chances over them quite a bit. Bayern - True enough, should never count the Germans out, but they are not the team they were. May be a good time to play them before their come-back manager instills anymore confidence into them. Valencia - Talented team, and I was tempted to group them with Liverpool and Milan as the teams to watch out for, but the approach they took at home against Inter has given me a slightly different opinion of them. Roma - Surprise of the round, me thinks, when they beat Lyon. But I still think of only one player when I hear the name Roma. Cheers, Butch

Jack
I had a feeling we'd have to play Liverfool at some point 2 seasons ago and so it proved - this time around I have the opposite feeling (sort of). We won't draw either of the English clubs, nor will we have to play either of them to get to the final. My guess is:- Chelsea v PSV Valencia v Roma (and in the other half of the draw) Liverfool v Manyoo AC Milan v Bayern The semis:- Chelsea v Roma Liverfool v AC Milan Final:- Chelsea v AC Milan ...or something like that! BLUENUT
with 3 English teams in the last 8 there's NO WAY EUFA will allow the possiblity of 3 English teams reaching the semi. It won't happen!!!! At least 2 will be paired againt each other in tomorrows draw - hope its Manu v Liverpool!
fester
Given that our home game against ManUre will be move for an FA Cup Semi-final, I can see a situation where we play ManUre in a Premiership decider, the FA Cup final and the Champions League final all in quick succession! My gut feeling that we would beat Real in Athens again was a wrong-un!!Like the one where we (the last Wembley winners) would play Bolton (the first Wembley winners) in the first final at the new Wembley! Cheers, Butch To be completely honest I don't think that knowing the names of players has much to do about how good a team is. A unknown team with good tactics can be better then a well known team with bad tactics. How many well known players does Lyon have? Yet many rate them as one of the best teams in europe. And look at Porto a few years ago. Not many stars on that team but they still managed to win the Champions League.

Do you talk about history or about reality? I don`t how Liverpool had played against Chelsea in 1930, 1950 or 70. But under Mourinho it was: 04//05: CC Final - 3-2 Chelsea wins; CL 1/2 - 1-0(0-0) Liverpool wins; 05//06: CL group - 0-0(0-0) Liverpool finished 1st; FA 1/2 - 2-1 Liverpool wins; 06//07: Community Shield - 2-1 Liverpool wins And nothing to talk about Premier League, I think it`s another competition. So why do you say your record is very poor??
