Chelsea Fans to Give Out Anti Racism Leaflets & Banners in French and English

Featured Replies

The thought is nice but the idiots who are spouting this racist sh*te have grown up around idiots teaching them how to be idiots and will likely be an idiot until the day they die, and I don't think any leaflets are going to change that.

The only way it can really be stopped is by intimidating the stupid minority into knowing that if they make racist comments they're going to be turned on by everyone around them, even their own fans.

The club and fans have already done plenty to make people aware that the majority do not think that racism is acceptable.

There will be some who are determined to believe we are and they won't change their minds whatever happens so a few leaflets won't make any difference.

Personally think this is just another example of the disproportionate outrage and general obsession with this incident. Time to move on.

If someone tried to give me a leaflet I'd tell them where to go. Not because I'm racist but because I don't need a leaflet telling me not to be. Deal with the problem as and when it arises.

I agree. Racism needs to be dealt with from the bottom up as a society, i.e. education from a young age.

Imagine that fat bloke who pushed the guy off the train being given one of these... "Hmmm, this leaflet tells me that racism isn't welcome here. Maybe I won't be racist now."

They won't make a difference.

Not a fan of this idea, we shouldn't have to prove we're not racists and to be honest waving a flag about isn't going to change anything.

Meh, whatever, club's decision. I'm sure we'd get blamed if we didn't do something either.

Maybe it's a waste of people's time but that's up to them, it won't do any harm. I find it hard to think of a reason any non-racist person would object to this.

How do you know the "fat bloke" is a racist? he wasnt singing the racist song was he?

I think there's more of an issue with certain faith schools & the radicalisation of young muslim lads than racism now.
