Have you ever been too nervous to watch a game?

FA Cup Final against the Mancs.  I was working in Manchester and getting the piss taken all week leading up to it by the lads I was working with, them claiming and easy 5-0 to united.  I told them if it was 5-0 I'd take them all out on the town in manc-land and pay for everything from the  beer to the whores to the taxi home.

At 4-0 I had to go outside and walk away - couldn't bear to watch any more.

I bet that put years on you!!!

Bayern Munic and United in both CL finals come to mind.

Had to walk about the house at various points as my nerves were getting the better of me.

Also Barca in the semi's in the same year as the onslaught came after half time down to ten men.

No, I have never missed a game because of nerves. Anticipating a thrashing almost makes it easier because your expectations are lowered; it's the shock defeats which get me the most.

The only game I've stopped watching because I couldn't take it is when we lost 5-1 to Tottenham in the League Cup in 2002. I stormed off after Hasselbaink got sent off, it was f**king horrible. Thank God we went on to beat them 4-0 twice in a week, I might never have recovered.

When I'm at home watching I always get a little nervous. But when I'm at the game, I am never in the slightest bit nervous. Sunday was a case in point - from about the 10th minute I just had this feeling we were not going to lose.

I'm a serial in-and-out room walker, I've never missed a game due to nerves but I've worn the carpet out and missed about 20 seconds of every minute we've played.

The only time I sit down and watch a game fully is when I'm not expecting anything. The 4-1 Napoli game in 2011/2012 I was so chilled about. Oh Robbie!
