I think it made it a lot worse than it had to be by making that statement and back tracking, if there was even 1% chance you would later make the move why come out and say anything.

I'm glad City are getting him, he isn't good enough to impact at the top level so rather City get him than someone better.

If I hadn't watched this guy play the past few seasons I would think that I hadn't watched this guy play the past few seasons.

He's still made a dick of himself and giving himself a bad image. He says he wants to prove that loyalty still exists but when Villa need him to be loyal he joins City.
