September 10, 201510 yr Ive got some free time, why not. 1. A bit disapointing because we've been linked with so many good players but only signed one. Definitely think we're stronger, not lost anyone who contributed meaningfully besides Drogba. 2. We played a post season tour and our preseason was moved back. I think some players arent up to fitness/form yet. You could see the difference when Pedro plays with how much more energy he seems to have. I think we've also played 3 of the top 4 teams as of right now. 3. No thoughts, dont care tbh 4. A few teams look like they've improved and I can see 4 or 5 teams competing for 5th come the end of the season. The league keeps getting more competitive. 5. Very hostile 6. A shame for us and you'll sell him next summer. Though not for as much as some of you think. 7. Low scoring, but up and down with some excitement. 8. September 10, 201510 yr Greetings. 1. Disappointing, Pedro has added some strength, but still room for improvement. 2. Who knows? We can guess, or be influenced by media gossip, but there's no way of knowing for sure. The system needs changing, close the window before play. 3. Ridiculous, fuelled by rag press. If she does go I won't be sorry as she's too much of a distraction. I think some championing her are thinking with their willies. 4. The 'lesser' teams are going to surprise many, watch Swansea for example, and make things interesting. The 'bigger' teams won't have an easy run this season perhaps. 5. I think it'll be tense, but I hope trouble free. 6. Not the end of the world, but it highlights how frustrating the system is. 7. It's going to be a rip-roaring, testosterone fuelled, humdinger. 8. Top 4, in no order, us, City, United, Arsie. Bottom 3, Sunderland, Watford, Norwich. Have a good season yourself.
September 10, 201510 yr 1. How was your transfer window, and are Chelsea stronger as a result of it? I'd say we'd be stronger on paper, but a new CB could have helped. 2. Why have Chelsea been slow starters this season? If it was any slower it would end up being outstripped by snails. 3. What are your thoughts on the Eva Carneiro situation? Can't it just bugger off? I'm fed up to the back teeth of the whole fiasco. 4. Although it's early, what are your observations of the Premier League this season? Could be a few surprises in store. 5. What kind of reception are you expecting at Goodison Park? Very hostile. Expect "rent boys" chants. 6. Why are your thoughts on Chelsea's failure to sign John Stones? Disappointing. This could also come back to haunt Everton if he comes here next season for much less. 7. Many said last season's fixture was one of football's greatest games, so what game are you anticipating on Saturday? An unconvincing win. 8. Name the top 4 and bottom 3 finishers. City-United-Chelsea-Swansea Sunderland-Watford-Norwich
September 10, 201510 yr 1. How was your transfer window, and are Chelsea stronger as a result of it? Begovic for Cech, Falcao for Drogba, Pedro for Cuadrado, Rahman for Luis. Pedro is an undoubted upgrade, Falcao and Rahman hopefully will be, and with Begovic we maintained having the best back-up keeper in the league. So yes i'd say we're a bit stronger but it probably wasn't enough. 2. Why have Chelsea been slow starters this season? Run-over from the end of last season, it was probably the promise of that title being so close that kept us going over the last few months of last season but now that thats over our weaknesses are being exposed. Ivanovic has been beyond awful, really none of the back 4 have played great and Fabregas isn't creating enough to justify his weaknesses. That being said, if Courtois doesn't get sent off at Swansea then we probably win that game and maybe play a bit better in the subsequent matches. 3. What are your thoughts on the Eva Carneiro situation? I really don't care about who our team doctor is. The media have done a good job into spinning it into Jose vs Eva to make Jose look bad when in reality he criticized the medical team, which is not only Eva but also the bloke whose name escapes me. It's been overblown because Eva is a woman. Aside from all of that, Jose's comments about the medical team coming onto the pitch seemed unnecessary. 4. Although it's early, what are your observations of the Premier League this season? The weak teams have gotten stronger and the strong teams haven't, aside from City. I expect they will walk the league this season and the rest of the big clubs will be in for quite a few shock results as we've seen already. 5. What kind of reception are you expecting at Goodison Park? It's always loud there, i'm sure the new Stones song will be done to death while Everton fans ignore the fact that he's probably going to leave next window or summer anyway. 6. Why are your thoughts on Chelsea's failure to sign John Stones? Martinez did his job well and made it look like we'd done something wrong by trying to buy a player. We hadn't done anything out of the ordinary in our pursuit of Stones and no more than Martinez does when he goes after players, but in the end he managed to create such a sh*tshow that he could pretend to justify not selling Stones to us as a matter of principal. From our end I think we stumped up far more than he's worth and didn't really do much wrong, and I expect we'll get him in the next year (or United will). 7. Many said last season's fixture was one of football's greatest games, so what game are you anticipating on Saturday? Well we certainly look capable of conceding 3 goals again, but not scoring 6. Given our recent woes I expect Jose to play cautiously and we'll more likely see a game similar to the one at the Bridge last season. 8. Name the top 4 and bottom 3 finishers. City Chelsea Arsenal United Bournemouth Sunderland Watford
September 10, 201510 yr 1. How was your transfer window, and are Chelsea stronger as a result of it? I wouldn't say it was successful. Other than Pedro, who is a real upgrade on our right wing, we mainly replaced like for like. 2. Why have Chelsea been slow starters this season? Who knows! The team look knackered and we have a lot of key players who are really out of form. Ivanovic, Fabregas, Matic and Hazard all need to improve and quickly. 3. What are your thoughts on the Eva Carneiro situation? Jose's dropped a clanger here and the whole fiasco is pretty disappointing and frustrating. 4. Although it's early, what are your observations of the Premier League this season? A lot of really strong teams. It's a bit of a cliche but there will be no easy games this year. 5. What kind of reception are you expecting at Goodison Park? Brutal. 6. Why are your thoughts on Chelsea's failure to sign John Stones? One club makes a series of bids and another club rejected them, as is their right. John won't stay at Everton his whole career (let's be honest) so he'll be a success wherever he ends up. I expect a much hotter competition for his signature next year. Gotta say, Roberto Martinez's 'holier than thou' speeches were amusing. There are no angels in professional football. 7. Many said last season's fixture was one of football's greatest games, so what game are you anticipating on Saturday? I'm hoping for a bore draw! We need a clean sheet to rebuild some confidence. 8. Name the top 4 and bottom 3 finishers. 1. City 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. United 18. Bournemouth 19. Watford 20. Sunderland Edited September 10, 201510 yr by Huttsey
September 10, 201510 yr A quick questionnaire if you have a few minutes to spare please lads and ladies. 1. How was your transfer window, and are Chelsea stronger as a result of it? Pedro makes us stronger.....the rest of them not so much 2. Why have Chelsea been slow starters this season? Well...secretly it's to win the Champions League...but don't tell anyone 3. What are your thoughts on the Eva Carneiro situation? Only club to ever get media time for moving a doctor? shows the media to be the sexist scum that it is 4. Although it's early, what are your observations of the Premier League this season? very interesting so far 5. What kind of reception are you expecting at Goodison Park? Something along the lines of what happened to jesus in that mel gibson film 6. Why are your thoughts on Chelsea's failure to sign John Stones? ....yet 7. Many said last season's fixture was one of football's greatest games, so what game are you anticipating on Saturday? Probably a massacre 8. Name the top 4 and bottom 3 finishers. September 11, 201510 yr 1. How was your transfer window, and are Chelsea stronger as a result of it? 50/50 transfer window. The signing of Pedro was great for us and boosted one of the areas we really needed to improve in. We probably couldn't have wished for a better backup goalkeeper in Begovic. But i'm very unsure on Falcao, i'm not sure if he is an upgrade on a 37 year old Drogba, Djilobodji is a mystery and i know very little about Rahman, Luis is one of the best fullbacks in the world for me and i think he would have proven that had we played him more, so i can't really tell if we have improved in that position or not as of yet. I think we were desperately in need of strong CM who could pass the ball though, i think us failing to sort that position out could be costly in the long run. I just don't think Mikel or Ramires are good enough backup's to Matic and Fabregas. Finaly, no, i don't think we are stronger this season. I think with the players that have gone out and the players that have come in, it has made us slightly weaker. 2. Why have Chelsea been slow starters this season? A mixture of things, the main one is poor planning. Starting the season late was really dumb in my opinion, we ended up starting the season behind everyone when it came to fitness and from what i have seen so far, it is showing badly. Also, like i said above, i think a new CM was crucial and we failed to sign one. 3. What are your thoughts on the Eva Carneiro situation? First off, it isn't an Eva Carneiro thing, it's not all about Eva Carneiro even though the media are trying ( and succeeding by the look of things ) to swing it that way. It's about the medical team, not just Eva Carneiro. Secondly, Mourinho was in the wrong, i usually agree with Mourinho about pretty much everything, but i think he looked like an idiot with this. The 2 members of the medical team were just doing their job like any other medical team in the game, i honestly can't understand where Mourinho is coming from with his treatment towards them. Finally, if Eva Carneiro really is going to take legal action then i will no longer support her in this, how is it sexist if your MALE colleague is treated the same way ? Anyway, the whole thing is ridiculous and should never have happened. It's just added more problems to what has already been a really poor start to the season. 4. Although it's early, what are your observations of the Premier League this season? sh*t, because we aren't playing well right now 5. What kind of reception are you expecting at Goodison Park? I'm sure the Everton fans will be hostile towards us because we committed what they consider to be a football sin by trying to sign one of their players and being so open about it. 6. What are your thoughts on Chelsea's failure to sign John Stones? I never really expected us to sign him anyway, it was always a long shot. If we were willing to spend that much money then i think it may have been wiser to spend it on a CM. I think we will get him eventually though seeing as he put in a transfer request. 7. Many said last season's fixture was one of football's greatest games, so what game are you anticipating on Saturday? A tight one, i don't expect it to be as open as last season's game. 8. Name the top 4 and bottom 3 finishers. 1 - Man City, i hate to sound so defeatist so early but they made all the right moves in the transfer window, like we did last season, and it seems to be working for them. Also, Yaya Toure looks more interested this season and when he is interested he is one of the best players in the league. Just having 1 player like that in your team wins you so many more points than you would without them. 2 - Chelsea, even though we have started badly, i still think we can still finish in the top 2. 3 - Arsenal, same as last season, they'll start playing well when the title is out of reach and get themselves into the Champions League spot. 4 - Man United, even with the huge amount of money spent again, i think they are missing something under Van Gaal. 18th - Sunderland, surely it's their year to go down. 19th - Watford, i don't think they are quite good enough. 20th - Bournmouth, same reasons as Watford. Wow, this post is gigantic, i don't remember the last time i made a post this big
September 11, 201510 yr . How was your transfer window, and are Chelsea stronger as a result of it? Pedro looks okay, would have preferred another top striker 2. Why have Chelsea been slow starters this season? Too late starting prep because of tours 3. What are your thoughts on the Eva Carneiro situation? Paper talk 4. Although it's early, what are your observations of the Premier League this season? Everyone will get beaten by 'lessor' teams at some point. That's what make the premier league so good 5. What kind of reception are you expecting at Goodison Park? Couldn't care less. We had a run in with some Everton lads at the cup final a few years back. Well mouthy and usual 'no history' crap. They really were brave when cops around and 30 of them and 4 of us! 6. Why are your thoughts on Chelsea's failure to sign John Stones? I think he's overrated anyway. He'll be off somewhere else at the end of the season. 7. Many said last season's fixture was one of football's greatest games, so what game are you anticipating on Saturday? 2-1 either way. 8. Name the top 4 and bottom 3 finishers. Citeh Chels Arse Man U Norwich Other promoted teams Edited September 11, 201510 yr by Shug
