Frank out with a 'broken wrist' !

Featured Replies

Broken wrist sucks- but hopefully it can be a chance to get maka back into fitness, form and the side! Essien habituated back into the midfield. And also a chance for him to get a well needed rest!!

Problem for Frank is, England score a hatful, the midfield 'gels', Gerrard scores and even tho its only Andorra the press will say Franks time for England is over icon_sad.gif

All ifs buts and maybes, of course ! icon_wink.gif

I'm sure that if England win today, it will be enough proof for a lot of people that Lampard should be dropped from the squad even when he's fit. icon_rolleyes.gif

If Lamps can't play with a broken wrist, then I'm a monkey's uncle. Just put a soft cast on it, and he should be good to go, right??

What are the odds that he was dropped and this injury is just given as an excuse to the media? icon_eek.gif

So he was dropped then.

Gerrard was lucky to stay on the pitch tonight, over the top challenge in the first half, and a blatant dive looking for a pen' in the second.

That said he scored two and set the other one up.

Just listening to the panel on sky, Hoddle '' hes (gerrard) gotta be our central midfeild player from now on, world class tonight'', yeah, against...........Andorra FFS !

To be honest, I hoe Lamps doesn't ahve to play for England again for a while. We really need him fit, and focused for the run in of games we are about to ahve. We are still competing on 3 fronts, and that is enough for him without throwing international duties in there too

Dont think England play again till June, Estonia away, but i know what you mean.

Broken wrists can mean anything from 1 week's rest required, or out for 6 weeks or so. Depends on the nature of the fracture.

Hopefully it will be the former for Frank.

We all know Frank has been receiving some pretty unfair criticism (relative to the other England players). I can't deny he has not be setting the world alight with his recent performances, for club or country, but if people can't see the good in what they have available to them, then all the better for us. He'll be fresh and rested for the important games in a season.

Cheers,

Butch

I have the same opinion!!!

But anyway I think they will continue their partnership in the middle of a park in the future. If not, it`s just well for Russia, I`ll be happy not to see them both in that matches.

Personally, i hope that Mclaren doens't pick Frank for the next 3/4 months.

I can see Frank being livid with that and i reckon his game will improve another 10%

because of it it (Imaqgine that). At the moment i realy couldn't give a toss about the England

team under Mclaren and all i care about is Chelseafc, and the silverware that we have the oppotunity

to win.

Just got this little snippet from The Sun's website (I doubt they'd lie when it comes to positive Chelsea news)

Blues star Lampard is due to return to action against Watford. The midfielder, who fractured his right wrist training with England, missed the 3-0 win against Andorra after Steve McClaren decided not to risk him.

Lampard had a custom-made lightweight cast fitted at a London hospital yesterday. He was also examined by club medical staff who have passed him fit to play.
