Well, I recognise Maldini, Baresi( I think) and Rikaard, the guy at the back looks very familiar, dunno who the guy next to Rikaard is though. Maldini was pure class.

Yes, it's Baresi. The other two are Costacurta and Tassoti. Maldini, Baresi, Costacurta and Tassoti was a great back four for AC Milan. One of the best in the history of football. Agree about Maldini. He was pure class. I think he was about 40 when he retired from the game.

It was indeed some back four and Baraesi and Maldini were awesome defenders.

‘World Class’ is a term often overused. It only starts to explain just how good Baraesi and Maldini were at their peak.

I have family back in Waterford, Ireland.

This was the game played in Dublin against Celtic in the European Cup ( I believe)  1970 with crowd trouble . The bottom report under heading " the main bout" cheerfully reports the trouble , adding that the police stood by admiring at a guy welding a stick as he cleared the terraces.

In a different report it suggests that it was Celtic fans from Northern Ireland fighting fans from Scotland.. I wonder if that was true ?

I was watching some videos of The Lawman.

Forgotten how lightning quick he was , in a few clips he appears out of nowhere at speed for simple tap ins. Some people phoning in with great memories of the guy on the radio.
