June 15, 20206 yr Not an image but an episode from Ripping Yarns. A brilliant series and Golden Gordon is probably my favourite episode from Ripping Yarns. It tells of a man who is obsessed with his non-league local team despite poor performances. I'm sure that we can all relate to the highs and lows but we probably haven't gone as far as smashing up the lounge.

Remember being in Corfu when this was on, left my Mrs on beach while I went to Hotel bar to watch Ireland game, waste of time, decided couldn't be that bad again, so did same for Dutch game, left when Van Basten got his third, didn't bother with Russia game, stayed on beach thank God. Mind you made up for it Two years later when Italia 90 came round.
