December 31, 20169 yr Apparently, Mourinho said that Depay will leave United in January. As far as I can recall he was considered a huge talent when they signed him. Maybe United are wasting him - shall we take over? Edited December 31, 20169 yr by PythonLu
December 31, 20169 yr I doubt Memphis will fit in Conte's formation with there already being enough competition among the ranks
December 31, 20169 yr No, he hasn't played all season and was very hit and miss before that. By the time he get's up to speed with the rest of the squad, the season will almost be over.
December 31, 20169 yr Defensively he's a liability on the flank but might be worth a punt for Conte's 3-4-3 if available for less than ~£15m - can't see him joining us without assurance of being a regular starter however.
December 31, 20169 yr Cutting in from the left onto his right foot? Like he does whenever he plays for United? Everyone knows he's going to do it and he's no Robben while doing it. In addition to him not being very good he also isn't a very likeable guy. I wouldn't want someone with his attitude in our squad.
December 31, 20169 yr Author Good feedback here, I don't follow United very closely, and thought Mourinho might be creating another Lukaku/De Bruyne situation at United. In hindsight, I'd rather have kept at least De Bruyne. Obviously Depay wouldn't replace Hazard, but I hoped he might be a good fit for the RW spot, with Conte mentoring him and all. After all, he showed very great promise in the Dutch league. Maybe being the great saviour that United thought he'd be for them was a bit too much too soon for a 21/22 year-old. In any case, if everyone's against Depay it's safe to assume that CFC won't go for him :) Edited December 31, 20169 yr by PythonLu
