If ever there was a moment to piss everybody off , its next week at Valencia .

Odds against us with a side that has so much quality and the fact we have a manager who can make us believe were better than they are .

YES , were well capable of getting a win and going further , because now could be the time we hit our best form and with Joey back i feel we can do ourselves justice by putting in a performance that matches anything we have achieved in the past .

Valencia are overall the best team we've played in the Champions League these past 4 seasons. Barca were clever but rubbish at the back. The Arse were strong but snapped when we pressed them. Liverfool were average, very, very average. Valencia have the lot - experience coming out of their ears, pace, skill, ability to keep the ball, a ruthless streak...everything you need to win the CL. Jose's downbeat assessment said it all - he knows they are a brilliant outfit with very few discernable weaknesses, if any.

I still have the faith that we can catch them out with a sucker-punch, but it will be very, very hard. We have to produce the performance of a lifetime, absolutely no doubt about it. The one advantage we have is that we can attack with the insurance of their away goal - we need to score whatever so if they score first the situation is barely changed.

I was surprised that Kalou and Mikel both started on Weds but I'd expect us to go for a little more experience on Tuesday, with Maka back in. Unfortunately this game has come a couple of weeks too soon for Joey Cole, but we really need someone to open them up. Lamps may well be let off the leash by Jose, so we might see a few more sorties into enemy territory by Frank, leaving Ballack and Maka to mind the shop.

I don't know, it's a tough one but one to look forward too - as opposed to the Arse who have nothing left but tears and recrimintions (excuse my glee!).

I don't think your right there mate.

Monaco were outstanding at the Bridge.

And Barca last year were tearing us to pieces.

Valencia are very similar to us in style......but we had them for almost 60 minutes midweek.

And I love the play by Guddy. How he backed a few yards to get himself in a good position so that he could get the ball and then play it back for Bridge to fire it home. Superb! joy.gif

Couldn't agree more! Footage like that makes me sentimental and miss Guddy...

I wish we still had Eidur this season *prepares for a barrage of eyerolls and incredulous glances*... I think the Guddy-Sheva partnership would be a formidable one, and give us an option we could use, need really..

Brilliant video Mak! Cheers.

Its definitely odd seeing Gallas playing so passionately for us.. and Ashley playing for l'Arse. I never thought the opposite would be true watching that.. a lot can happen in a few years.

In conclusion, Bridgey should play some more! He's quality and the expression on his face get me every time, the man loves Chelsea.

Oh, and buy Eidur back, but I'll probably be calling for that until he retires, or we do. Edit: We do buy him that is.

you know, I never Liked Creed (the band that sing the song in that video.) But, that was put together well, and everytime Iw atch that video it fills me with emotion. Quite possible CR's greatest night, magical
