I think you've got a bet on at work that you can get at least one or two idiots to support this sort of view, because no-one in their right mind can actually believe that. Zaha has found his level and his fanbase, and that is battling relegation at Palace, and turning up against the big boys from time to time. Not even Arsenal quality in my opinion.

You mark my words YB - Zaha will go for a huge fee, whether it's to us or some other mugs. He wouldn't be my choice, but we aren't in the position we were a while back, so may have to lower expectations at times. Still feel he would offer us more than Willian (although if we keep Hazard I would prefer CHO fill the Willian role). If Willian wasn't Brazilian he wouldn't get half as many plaudits. And as much as I try to value your opinions, I can never forget how highly you rated Mikel. There are times even @Davey Baby makes more sense
July 20, 20187 yr Well @Nibs "mugs" would be the right word. True we aren't in the position we were a while back, but we most definitely haven't sunk to Zaha levels yet. I think Willian is under-rated in here by most, but I also think he wants out so we should get the most we can for him,and yes, ideally use CHO, though he wouldn't put in half the defensive work that Willian does, and I don't think that his strengths would be in those surging transition runs that Willian does either. BUT, we are obviously going to change our tactics and strategies, so maybe that won't be necessary any more. And you know, deep in your heart, that Sir John Obi Mikel OBE was a giant in that position, and followed every manager's instructions to the letter. All over the world, top top teams are looking for the "next Mikel", including us. And @Davey Baby has never made sense in his posting life. (Nor in real life, as far as I am aware). Long and rambling posts, yes. Short and pithy but unfortunately not very witty piss-takes, yes. But sense? Never. Edited July 20, 20187 yr by yorkleyblue
July 20, 20187 yr honesltly, i've had it with this transfer window. The management can't do anything right. After this Conte saga, we get a new manager, and we sign a midfielder, which we don't need. And two of our best players are about to leave and nobody has any clue what to do.
July 20, 20187 yr Just put Victor Moses in that position, he did well at Wigan? Sign a right back. Done.

Fabrégas, can't play the full 90 full throttle. Drinkwater, not good enough? Barkley, always injured. We most definitely needed a midfielder. You my friend, have been very pessimistic today. Whilst nobody has officially left yet, and there is still plenty of time in the transfer window. Have a bit of faith in the club will you ;)

July 20, 20187 yr Even though the board can be infuriating at times, I’ll trust them not to mess this one up. £200m or piss off.
