January 9, 20197 yr The first time you win it or the first time you win it or after a long gap of trophies (24 years) makes it special. Of course once you have a few medals the enjoyment often wears off. Edited January 9, 20197 yr by Strider6003

Luton fans have some chance of getting home but there's no chance sheff wed fans can use public transport.

Just how I had imagined cup finals when watching and dreaming on TV in 70's and 80's, then that day in May I was there at Wembley in the sun, dreams can come true!!

It did seem like a dream and had started reading books with a spiritual dimension as I was unhappy and no luck with the doctors back then but couldn't help but notice Bates had offered training to Hoddle when reputedly Spurs turned him down .....brought in Gullit,,,,,,,,Vialli........Di Matteo. Almost as though one good turn spiritually deserves another.

I remember we'd barely settled down when we scored. My daughter had just learned to walk and walked round and round the living room with her arms in the air, copying all of us!
January 15, 20197 yr Very happy for the Shrews beating those thugs Stoke! Shrews were absolutely dire on Saturday against Charlton so didn't see that coming!
January 16, 20197 yr Got my tickets yesterday. Actually off to Norway on Monday from Luton airport so took the opportunity to book a hotel near SB on Sunday night to take the Mrs up to London for the day before heading to SB for 6PM KO Which suits me :-) Not looking forward to getting up the A(M)1 from SB to Luton on Monday morning though :-(

Its a shame that its all about the money, but I feel because of the carabao cup, it has diminished the value of the FA cup seeing as both are very similar. If there wasn't a carabao cup, the FA would definitely feel a lot more important than it does currently The League cup has been around since the 60s, it was the Milk Cup when I first started to properly watch and understand football... I think part of the attraction of the FA cup to us older folk is it was one of the few properly televised games when I grew up (outside of world cup years) so it was always a proper occasion whoever was playing
January 17, 20197 yr Derby through on penalties away to the Saints. That's a big scalp for me and will be interesting to see if this impacts their league form.
