He's actually the leading goal scorer in the Scottish Premiership on 10 goals and that's surprising because most often he's coming off the bench late on. strider6004 1
carrickblue Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Some result for Rangers tonight. Morelos' goal was so good, great finish. One more win and we should have European football after Christmas.
Scott Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 I had the great fortune of being able to watch the match on a Mexican channel. We don't get SPL games here so it was a real treat to see the Blue Boys at Ibrox.
carrickblue Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 if Rangers can keep this team and the management team together for another couple of seasons, they really could be something special
Argo Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 @carrickblue out of curiosity what is Gerrard's preferred brand of football? Has he gone down the route Lampard has and gone for more possession based domination or is he more a solid shape first counter attack manager? Or something in between?

Or something in between? there's a big gap between Celtic and Rangers and the other teams in Scotland so generally in domestic games, Rangers will have a lot of possession and spend most of the time trying to break down 10 men defences. in Europe Gerrard has had the team sit back a little more, soak up some pressure and counter attack - I don't know if what happens at Rangers is a good guide to how Gerrard would want to have his team play but he seems to like young, quick and strong players and has the team playing a lot of one touch passing, there's a lot of movement - not unlike SFL's Chelsea in some ways. Boyne Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 A tricky game for the 'Gers tomorrow night. A win though away to Feyenoord will see them through to the knock-out stage. One of my cousins is going to the game. Earlier in the week it was the Rangers AGM. At it the, Rangers Chairman, Dave King announced that he will be standing down from that role in the New Year after holding that job for five years. He's done a great job and will continue the fight against that toe-rag, Mike Ashley over rights to sell merchandise. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/agm-2019-dave-king-speech/ There is also talk about extending the capacity at Ibrox but putting seats where the big screens are located. Boyne Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 Good result for the 'Gers tonight. A win would have been nice but I'm happy with a draw. Just need a draw in the next game at Ibrox to progress to the knockout stages. WATP. Scott 1
Boyne Posted December 1, 2019 Author Posted December 1, 2019 Another fine result for the 'Gers today with a five-nil win over Hearts. Very tight at the top of the SPL with the lot from the dark side only leading by having scored one more goal than the 'Gers. A few tough games coming up with playing at Aberdeen in the League on Wednesday; then the League Cup Final against Celtic; and finally a Europa League match. Win all three games and Rangers fans will be very happy. WATP carrickblue 1
Boyne Posted December 6, 2019 Author Posted December 6, 2019 Big game on Sunday. If Rangers win I think I'll get very drunk. Whisky and beer galore! To quote the late, great Jock Wallace, we've got the battle fever on. carrickblue 1
carrickblue Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Big day tomorrow, come on Rangers Boyne 1
carrickblue Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 we're bossing this - could be 4-0 up so I'm really worried we'll regret not taking all these 1st half chances.

Agree, we've been bossing it. Should be easily winning. Like you, I'm worried that we'll regret not taking the chances. I'll settle for a scrappy 1-0 win. Two of my cousins are at the game. They'll have a big swally if the 'Gers win. Great tackle from Jack. Looked like it might go off injured. Watching the game on BT Sport so having to listen to Chris Sutton talk a lot of drivel. He struggles to say anything complimentary about Rangers. Then again, he doesn't say too many positive things about Chelsea. Awful pundit. Edited December 8, 2019 by Boyne
carrickblue Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 I think Sutton was brainwashed when he was at Celtic
carrickblue Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 it's looking like one of those days. Foster has saved about 6 certain goals and a penalty
Boyne Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 FFS. Rangers should have been home and dry by half-time. @carrickblueas you wrote, we could rue the missed chances. Forster made some great saves and have to say it was a poor penalty from Alfie. No doubt Chris Mutton will be joining in the celebrations in the Septic changing room. Football is a cruel sport. They had two chances and scored from one. I'm going down to the pub to drown my sorrows. Crap weekend for football with Chelsea and Rangers losing. However, what happens We Are The People.
The Brit Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 What a fcuking travesty. Although thought gers basically gave up after that penalty save. Lost all belief they could win after that. Can’t really blame them. Dominate, see Forster make save after save and fall behind to Celtic’s first shot on target which should have been ruled out for offside. Celtic Must have made deal with the devil.
carrickblue Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Big game on Thursday, need to get back in the zone for that. Should Tav have taken the penalty? Maybe. Had we scored then I think we'd have gone on to win.
Boyne Posted December 21, 2019 Author Posted December 21, 2019 A great result for the 'Gers last night. Great passing and movement. The players worked hard and pressured the Hibs players. Three good goals. Great strike from Defoe for the third goal. One of the Hibs players was sent off for a terrible tackle on Barisic. Hopefully the Police and the Hibs management will punish the Hibs fans who threw stuff including a glass bottle at Barisic. Home to Kilmarnock on Boxing Day and then away to the lot from the dark side next Sunday. WATP
