It was the ultimate fluke result. I don’t disagree, and arguably they should have lost for numerous reasons, but nonetheless they did get a point, which is good at City, BUT they played poorly vs Villa and won late and then another shambolic performance caught up with them this time.

It was the ultimate fluke result. And to link your point to many other posts about VAR, even Lloris knew the disallowed City goal really was a goal. He was laughing out loud and couldn't believe Spurs luck. On the match I thought Chelsea deserved the win and the pace with which they were moving the ball left Norwich chasing for long periods, especially in the 2nd half. The defence seemed a bit soft and we need somebody to read those situations around our own box. Zouma looks good for long periods but incorrectly positioned himself for one of the goals. Maybe he can be coached into improving. His confidence seems to have returned after the opening game penalty. Lets hope it doesn't become misplaced and hurry back Rudi. There's obviously room for improvement but it looks like we can create scoring opportunities. Kovacic seems to be nailing down his place in the team and if his improvement continues and we get Kante back our midfield really would be strong. Kovacic's ball to Tammy for his second goal was sublime. This isn't the first time he has done this and he's starting to look a good buy. Can't believe how good Mount looks. Is it me or does he disappear for periods of the game. Maybe that's how he operates. Disappears and then scores. Tammy needs to remember this moment and keep his nerve in front goal in the future. Both his finishes were quality and for me the second goal was the goal of a top striker. It was great ball from Kovacic but he had to deal with a couple of defenders and a goalie. His movement was intelligent and he wrong sided the defender instinctively. If he can just remember these goals and what was going through his head when he unleashed his shots he will score more. He needs to build on this and Sheffield at home is the perfect opportunity. COYB.
August 27, 20196 yr Both goals from Tammy reminded me of how Costa used to finish when he was at his best, that alongside Tammy having a better temperament stands us in good course hopefully.

I loved Tammy's goals too though can't help think Krul could have done better on both.

Everything happening in secret, no inclusion of the fans at all, it creates an unreal atmosphere. The way that technology is used in cricket and rugby, as well as ensuring decisions are correct, actually adds to the drama. Why can't the football authorities trust the fans the way those sports do? Not a big rugby watcher so couldnt comment on that, but the way it works in cricket is a lot different in that it wont overturn incorrect umpiring calls without the opposing team asking, rather than being an overwatching eye... hence the inclusion of "umpires call" on close LBW shouts for instance. I think the way it is implemented currently isnt the best idea, it should be available on request not for scrutiny after the event, i.e a goal goes in the defending side feel it was offside appeal for a VAR look, or as for the first goal at Norwich appeal that the ref should have stopped the game for a clear foul...

You could say that for most goals to be fair, unless they are an absolute worldie. Hitting a half volley from a cross is a difficult skill, and the long range shot took Krul by surprise. The more of that the better ?

Tammy's shot was well placed. Low hard & precise. Also it went through the defender's legs. The keeper saw it late & he was leaning the opposite way. Have a look at that again. also IMHO the shadows plays tricks on Krul. Like the commentator said, "That is a First Class finish"
