Have to say that I'm not surprised that clubs are showing interest in Bassey given his brilliant form in the last few months. Gerrard obviously knows him well. I hope he stays at Rangers but if does move to England would love to see him at Chelsea.

Horrible news. 

Yes, horrible news. Goram was a brilliant goalkeeper. Highly thought of by players and fans and not surprisingly is nicknamed The Goalie. Saw some great performances by him over the years but one of the finest was for Rangers against Leeds at Elland Road in the European Cup of 92/93. Some of the saves he made that night were unbelievable. It's been an awful few months with the deaths of Walter Smith and Jimmy Bell. Now this. 

Both of my late parents had cancer. It's a f**king bastard illness. My Mum particularly suffered from it. It was heart-breaking to see her deteriorate from it. One of the reasons I donate monthly to Cancer U.K.

I lost my parents to cancer too. Andy Goram will always be a Rangers hero.

The Ulster Pirlo has signed a year's extension to his contract. It will be interesting to see how many games he plays next season but his experience will be invaluable.

    Another Rangers great has left. The wonderful Davie Wilson. Rest easy Davie.

    RANGERS Football Club are today extremely saddened to hear of the passing of former player Davie Wilson at the age of 85.

    Davie made his competitive debut for his boyhood club in January 1957 in a league game against Dundee.

    He made 373 appearances across 11 seasons at Ibrox, playing under Scot Symon, scoring a total of 158 goals before departing the club in 1967 to join Dundee United.

    The winger was also part of the Rangers team that reached the 1961 European Cup Winners’ Cup final against Fiorentina.

    For Gers, he won four League titles, five Scottish Cups and two League Cups as part of 11 honours with his beloved club.

    At international level, Wilson had a successful career with Scotland, earning 22 caps and scoring 10 goals for his country.

    Wilson was a three-time Hall of Fame inductee with Rangers, Dundee United and Scotland after contributing great achievements and success for each of these teams.

    Davie was said to have “loved Rangers with every breath.”

    The thoughts of the directors, staff and players of Rangers are today with the family and friends of Davie.
