May 19, 20224 yr We have being linked with Kounde and Romangioli in free transfer. I like both players very much, romagnioli brings experience, height and leadership if he can stay fit plus he is left footed and can play from the back. Kounde athleticism, strength and huge potential, together with Reece they will become formidable in that right side of defence, wingback position. I would be delighted if we can get both. In midfield i would go for gundogan on minor transfer fee plus one of tchoumani or Rice. I would prefer Rice obviously if we can get a decent deal from west ham. Obviously Jorginho would have to be sold too. Attack i would definitely go for Nunez, sell Lukaku and one of Ziyech or Pulisic that way it would cover the transfer fee and more for Nunez. That would be my dream summer window for a small budget. Edited May 19, 20224 yr by Gentian
May 20, 20224 yr We still have the squad who won us a CL trophy and played a respectful part in the competition this year. But I afraid we're behind in term of quality after our opponents + around the world. We're losing Rudiger, Christensen. Rudiger is a big loss in my opinion and we have to get a player better from him. To get a better defensive defender is not a big problem, but overall as a character in our dressing room and his leadership, aggressive behavior and winning mentality is something we must have in the team, especially in the backline. I'd go hard for Kounde and Milan Skriniar. Azpilicueta and Alonso are probably leaving as well. If Chilwell will return at his best and will give 2nd LWB/LB position to youth, I have no problem with that. But if we will keep only Chilwell and then use different players there, then we must sign a new LB with ability to play LWB. In midfielder we have Saul leaving, getting Gallagher back and it keeping us with Kante, Kova, Jorgi, Gallagher, RLC. Not good enough in my opinion, we are missing some defensive quality in this midfield. Declan Rice or like everyone wrote, Tchouameni (I just hope he's not another Bakayoko). In attack we have to sell 2-3 players. As I see this, Ziyech is not really happy with his playing time, Lukaku I don't think he's what we need in our system and Pulisic or Werner are not really impressing. Pulisic had more better performances this season and overall in his Chelsea career. We're getting back Broja. GK's: Mendy, Kepa, Bettinelli CB's: Thiago Silva, Chalobah, Kounde, Skriniar, Colwill. (Loan Sarr ) LB's: Chilwell, Maatsen(?) RB's: James, Sterling(?) CM's: Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, RLC, Gallagher, Rice, Gilmour Attacking options: Mount, Havertz, CHO, Ziyech/Werner/Pulisic. As an option I'd go for Refael Leao/Dembele/Gnabry/ Thuram. Strikers: Lukaku(?), Lautaro Martinez, Broja

I would sell. After reading your comment, I started thinking and you are right. He's played roughly 40-50% of our matches the last few years. What seems to me to be the issue is that we rely on him so much so that we rush him back. Which can exacerbate the situation, and has caused him to miss even more game time. I completely understand wanting to sell at this point.
May 24, 20224 yr I am quite surprised everyone is not as worried as me for next season. This is probably our d line situation for next season Emerson/Chilwell - colwill/sarr - Silva - chalo - james/cho

Yes indeed how long before it is more like, Nightmare on Fulham Road. Chilwell breaks down again in the first month, James's hamstring on the 5th week. Kovacic nastily scythed down and out for a two months. Then we are back to the squad fillers of Sar and RLC yet somehow still get 4th.
