Agree about heads going down at 3-1 and that if they were to go into the Europa League there wouldn't be a repeat of last year's run. Goldson is a good player and as you say he is a good organiser. Unfortunately I missed the first-half.

Hopefully Jack's injury isn't too serious. Perhaps Gio should have made substitutions earlier?

I was reading during the week that Rangers' entire first team weekly wage bill is £388k - that's less than Salah is earning on his own. The gulf in resources between the PL and Scottish football is simply vast - in the same article (Jim White btw) he said that in 1992 when Rangers played Leeds, the two clubs' wages bills were almost identical.

Think too last season Bassey, Balogun - you know how great a prospect Bassey was - when you've to let those guys go it's so difficult. As far as the European campaign goes, we're definitely looking weaker than last season.

Yeah 1992 was probably the last time that realistically, Rangers (or any other Scottish club) could compete on a level playing field financially with the top English clubs.

Yes I know what happened from 2012 onwards.

RANGERS Football Club is saddened by the news of the death of our former player, Jimmy Millar.

Former Rangers striker Jimmy Millar has passed away at the age of 87.

Starting his career at Dunfermline, Millar was signed by Scot Symon in January 1955 and went on to enjoy a 12-year spell at Ibrox.

Millar lifted three League titles, five Scottish Cups and three League Cups during his time at the club and was later inducted into Rangers’ Hall of Fame.

A tough, brave and quick centre-forward, Millar scored an impressive 162 goals in 317 Rangers appearances.

Our thoughts are with Jimmy’s family at this sad time.

Sad news indeed. RIP

Well done Rangers. A great gesture.

WALTER SMITH STATUE TO BE COMMISSIONED.

ON the first anniversary of his passing, Rangers Football Club are today pleased to announce a statue of legendary manager Walter Smith has been commissioned to commemorate his incredible achievements at the club.

In the modern era, nobody contributed more to Rangers than Walter. He served as assistant manager, manager, and Chairman, with his spells as manager yielding an incredible 10 top-flight titles, five Scottish Cups and six League Cups.

A boyhood supporter who more than lived the dream, future generations will be met with this new sculpture at the famed Copland Road end of Ibrox Stadium.

I like the orange kit they are wearing

hopefully they still can have a shout at third place by some miracle

Yes, it's a great kit. Not looking good at the moment. Napoli look good. I'm dreading another big defeat. I hope I'm wrong.

No shame in losing to this Napoli team

they are extraordinary, they could win the CL

Very true. I didn't realise until tonight that Simeone is son of Diego. I wonder if he is as nutty as his father.

He is as competitive

his other son plays for him at atletico

I watched a documentary about the Simeone family on Amazon prime

Well after a shaky start and Napoli having plenty of chances have to say Rangers were a lot better towards the end of the first half. Good chance for Morelos. Lundstrum has to be careful.

Morelos had to score that tap in, but all considering, if it stays 2-0 or even 3-0 it's not too bad

although the worrying thing is that Osimhen is warming up on the side-line

Østigård for 5 million seems like a good deal again from Napoli

this Napoli is fun to watch, a shame it has to be at the expense of Rangers

Difficult to believe that Morelos didn't score that tap in. Given his past achievements poor from him. Have to say that Napoli's third goal was a great header.

2 seasons ago he played for Stoke and now he is playing CL, go figure

last season he got relegated with Genoa on loan from Brighton

Given the start and the quality of Napoli it could have been a lot worse. Just hope that Rangers can get a win against Ajax at Ibrox nest week to finish with something.

they actually did manage to reduce the damage well

to finish 3rd i think Rangers have to win 5-0 against Ajax

Would be great if Rangers finished 3rd. I would either get very drunk or very, very drunk.

Napoli played well and at times very well at times. Their ball movement and counter attack at times was brilliant.

Morellos could and should have scored the ‘tap in’ chance.

However, it might simply have annoyed Napoli.

1-0 Rangers. Malik Tillman's second-half goal ensuring a vital victory, which was really needed.

Agree, the win was really needed especially with Celtic having a seven point lead over Rangers. A couple of displays from last night's game at Ibrox. Yet again Rangers and their fans excel.
