Tim
Sorry Rob, but IMHO you couldn't deserve the trophy less after the domestic season you've had, yet again, so I and I think most, will be Carbonara munchers for the evening.

Just as in 2005, if we win it we will have beaten the best to do so, you lot, barca, milan (if) it doesnt get much tougher than that. i think you should all just let your bitterness go and wear red and rejoice. ethicalstrategy
Yep, I'll be supporting Milan - as much for the integrity of the competition as anything else. I do think, however, that you have a good chance of winning. It's not likely to be as exciting as last time though.

Tim
Sorry Rob, but I stand by my comments. I have no respect for a club that eshews all other competitions by Christmas to concentrate on the CL. Man U's CL win, I CAN respect, as they fought and won on three fronts, yours I cannot (however much the second half comeback was admirable) and the same will be the case IF you win it again. I think you are obviously on a cheeky wind up by starting this thread, and know full well the reaction you would get, so I am a bit suprised that you have reacted so badly to my post! Milan all the way.

The competion is nothing like it used to be and in no way as pretigiouse, sure it looks better the way its been glamorised but you got in to it when you came fith, you got in to it when you came fourth and your going to get in to it for coming third.... you havent been champions in 17 years and not even looking close at the moment and regardless of what you claim you awareness of the last time you did win it would not have been all that, from my recloection you would have been about 7. Its not just an attaked leveled at you its been the way i have fealt about the competition for some time, a reason why i was happy barca won it last season coming in to it as champs!! I was gutted about going out but that was more because we went out to you boys than any thing else I was far more gutted when we drew with bolton and when we lost in the FA cup final to united. I still enjoy all the big games etc but i am realistic about the competiton and am big enoug to openly addmit that the competion is a bit of a joke

g3.7
competition not a joke, knockout format does make it easier for "weaker" teams to advance, but both liverpool and milan thoroughly deserve to be in the final. good luck rob, but I sincerely hope milan give liverpool a good thrashing.
