If anyone can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory Spurs can, and with De Zerbi disappointment and failure are theirs for the taking. Fill your boots Spurs fans. Let the whining and wringing of hands begin !

2006 . Tottenham can finish 4th and qualify for CL AND finish above Arsenal, denying them the CL spot . Just beat West Ham last game of season...

BUT !!!

"However, on their way to West Ham's former ground - Upton Park - a number of Tottenham's first-team players were feeling under the weather due to the lasagne they ate the day before.

Unlike Arsenal and the recent north London derby, though, Spurs were not permitted to postponed the game with the club wary of being hit with a Premier League fine.

The game went ahead with Tottenham missing TEN key players. It led to former manager Martin Jol fielding a weakened side who were unable to secure the victory they needed, as they lost 2-1.

Theres no good coaches around the block anymore, they all more or less the same poor to average. Current coach or manager or lackey or whatever he may be is no different. Conte, Mourinho and Ancelotti were decent but too much trouble. If not for my age and lack of energy i could do a better job than any of them as im sure others could too.

Another day another ridiculous comment by the puppet

I felt Cole led the team magnificently in the game. […] Players can lead in different ways. Cole is a player who, in big moments, can win you games. Sometimes, you have to go back to basics and I felt the players, in terms of the fundamentals of the game were very, very good. And Cole led by example.”

Did he though?

It was Port Vale after all, Palmer was not good and this is all waffle to try and appease the fans and mor importantly Palmer

You're upset the manager is encouraging our player?

Hes not though is he, its all PR to try and keep Palmer from not chucking in the towel and leaving to go and win a real trophy at a club that wants to win things

So you want him to encourage Palmer to leave the club instead? Moaning for the sake of moaning, its embarrassing. There's nothing wrong with the quote.

If you want to keep your best players, dont talk a player up and give him the armband, so some intent and buy some experience and world beaters, not a bunch of 20 year olds and then wonder why they want to go

Liam Rosenior - IF he gets us into the top 5 and/or FA cup final - maybe we even win it? Luck is always possible. Do we keep him or do we go the sensible route and thank him for his time and bring in a proper coach? I think Liam is probably a nice bloke. He would have been a good assistant maybe? But he is not top tier management/coach material by any stretch of the imagination.

So, replacements . . .Who we got? What we got? Do we go back to our old managers? Gullit? Hoddle? Conte?

You think Rosenior is buying the players? Just moaning for the sake of moaning without it even making sense at this point.

There's plenty at the club to cry about, the manager talking up our star player isn't one of them.

I just cant be mad at LR... I'd like to be, but I just think he shouldnt have been offered the job as it was miles ahead of his experience. Now he's here, i expect rookie errors and i cant even be mad at him for trying to improve himself and his coaching. Im just resigned to the football we play under him and hope he finds a winning formula and lands us the FA Cup/ top 4. Does that, He'll get my praise. If not, oh well, my finger is pointing at the board throughout his appointment.

And because of me pointing blame at the board over his appointment, I actually hope he proves me wrong and gets my support, (reluctantly) until the end of the season. Com' on LR, get the results fella... Meh...

What are you on about? Everyone knows Rosenior has nothing to do with buying the players just as he has no say in picking the team or captain, The owners are getting desperate knowing Enzo, Cucurella, Palmer and Caicedo are thinking about leaving as they want to win things, WHY did they give Palmer the armband? It should have been Tosin

So you know everything this club does has nothing to do with Rosenior yet here you are on the Rosenior thread moaning about him praising a player?

Are you dense?

I just refuse to give up... just a few weeks more until close season and switch off for the summer... There's nothing better than celebrating an FA cup win in Chelsea. Well, CL but silverware.

We are always in with a chance. Inconsistent in the medium term however always capable of winning a key game or two and with drama of course.🤞In spite of Blue Co. not because of.

Tbf after I think it was Brentford away last season I thought it was done.

Only difference is now I simply don’t care. Champions league or not, more Delaps, Garnachos, Gittens, etc are in the horizon.

Never give up. Always support the team. DiMatteo wasn't the best manager we ever had
