Posted August 22, 200717 yr Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of Arjen Robben subject to the player agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. http://www.chelseafc.com/xxchelsea180706/i.../list_2209129_0
August 22, 200717 yr unfortunate- we've lost a useful player if we could get him fit. I think he will be a big success in madrid in an attacking lineup where defenders/midfielders can't focus on him. The question is now do we sign a replacement? I think it will be fine either way: if we don't an injury will probably force JM back into playing the Diamond this squad is constructed for... and if we do... well that would be nice also...
August 22, 200717 yr It's a shame that there will not be that many too sorry to see him go. And that says a lot about Robben. With the squad we have now, I don't think we need a replacement.
August 22, 200717 yr Both sad and happy to see him go. Happy because he's injured too often and seems a bit too lightweight. Sad because on form he's one h*ll of a player. I guess we get alot of cash for him and I would be surprised if we don't buy Alves now. As for replacements for Robben I'm not sure we need one. We have Malouda and Cole there and perhaps even Sinclair. We can sign Alves and use the rest of the money to buy Leeds.
August 22, 200717 yr He still has o pass a medial and that involves 1. Getting a taxi 2. Getting on a plane 3. Landing 4. Waiting for his Dad to pick up his luggage 5. Signing three autographs 6. Having germanblue arrested for stalking 7. getting to the Bernabeu 8. getting changed 9. Climbing three steps 10. Jogging 11. Three press ups and 4 star jumps Hence he will het injured and will still be a Chelsea player next week. Disappointed to see him go but it was just a matter of time so better now then at the last second of the transfer window. I fully expect us to push on with the Alves deal now.
August 22, 200717 yr expect us to sort out alves soon...madrid's interest was clearly to force us to agree over robben...the dutchman's last game for us? against Hampton and richmond today at cobham!!!
August 22, 200717 yr He could have been a great here IMO but he's shown no loyalty to the club, hasnt battled for a place in the team and i hope he fails miserably.
August 22, 200717 yr He could have been a great here IMO but he's shown no loyalty to the club, hasnt battled for a place in the team and i hope he fails miserably. You and me both. If he wants to go, which it's now obvious he does, then f**k him. He had every opportunity to become one of Chelsea's all time greats. I'm not really up with La Liga, but I hope and pray that on his Real Madrid debut, THE dirtiest, hardest most evil bar steward in the whole of the Spanish League steams into him and puts him out for the rest of the decade. Not that that'll take much doing.

I just hope we get them in the Champions league - thrash them and kick the sh*t out of him while were at it.
August 22, 200717 yr my word you need therapy Who me? You should have seen me in my younger days. I've mellowed incredibly in my old(ish) age.
August 22, 200717 yr hehe... a good thought, i smile... What did it for you.. herbal teas, 2 minutes of hate? We should get some of those on the amazon site. "Herbal Teas- Turned lofty from leg breaker to pastry chef!"
August 22, 200717 yr I thought I would be upset but frankly, I am not. He moans all the time and is made of glass, and was never consitantly good. Maybe Malouda is the replacement. Alves can play up the right wing, and has done for Sevilla. He can also sure up the RB spot after Jonno and Paolo blew their chances. As long as we sign Alves then this is good news.
August 22, 200717 yr Alves can play up the right wing, and has done for Sevilla. He can also sure up the RB spot after Jonno and Paolo blew their chances. all comical statements imo- we are competing with barcelona, improved italian sides, improved madrid, improved manchester liverpool and entire EPL- i don't think another player not playing his preferred position is the answer.
August 22, 200717 yr Alright he wants to go. He hasn't slagged the Club off! He aint never given us any problems! He's been exiciting to watch when he was 100%. Fine ok,he wants to go.......... let him go.... ...but why slag him off?? Cant see the point. I have more respect for a player like Robben......... ..Who keeps a low profile and gets on with it..... .....than a player like Ashley (Badge-kisser/Gooner) Cole who left his boyhood club and joined us (their rivals) for nothing more than money. Have some respect for Robben........he NEVER let us down.

Cant see the point. arrrrrgggggghh because i'm a c**t and he's a c**t and you're a c**t and that c**t down the street looked at me funny and i'll break his c**t legs. c**t. did i mention i'm psychotic? c**t.
August 22, 200717 yr Does anyone have any idea what the fee for Robben is? Abramovich wanted to hold out for ?27m for him to fund the deal to bring Alves in - but I've read on some places that the agreed fee is ?18m which is pants imo.. I'm quite pleased in a way that Arjen is off to 'no place in the team for you after all our 200 signings' Real Madrid because (as I think someone has already said) when he has played in the Blue shirt he has given 100% and he hasn't slagged the club off. The turning point when we all kind of knew that Robben was off was when he said that the contract negotiations had broken down when the Blues were out in America.

He has played there lots, and in fact according to Guillem balague Alves started off as a winger, as did Cashley. And he would likely be 4th choice winger. What IS comical is the thought of Paolo playing RB for us again. He has let us down too often. I have stuck up with him in the past but he clearly does not have the confidence of the boss anymore and makes too many errors. Same with Glenda. If you can not see that Alves is better than Paolo then I suggest you have a long lie down in a dark room or increase your medication.

Whenever Robben got injured i do beleive it was usually genuine but there were times where he would take a slight knock and want to come off when other players would have played through it. I know he always made an impact when he played but i just think that he could have shown more loyalty.
August 22, 200717 yr well one thing you said made sense... he doesn't have the confidence of the boss anymore. whether that makes up for winning was it.. european defender of the year? or his quality as a player i'm not so sure. Depends if you have your JM is infallible glasses on. There are a lot of right backs able to challenge Ferreira at the moment, perhaps we should sign thuram puyol zambrotta and gary neville too! In any case... We have a good balance with ferreira/johnson- both have proven themselves top quality players against the best opposition under managers who's confidence they have, and the only legitimate reason for Alves is the diamond formation.
August 22, 200717 yr I want to know how many operations robben managed to fake to go along with all of the fake injuries the c*nt had.
