yogic
Inevitably there will be quite a few players that will depart either in Jan or perhaps at the end of the season. Players like Drogba, Carvalho and Ferreria come to mind as Jose's favorites and could well be on their way, either to him or to another club? Who do you think will leave? Who will come in? Also, is Avram a permanent appointment? Thoughts on a postcard ..
BLUENUT
Paulo and Lampard both on last year of their contracts. Both off! Carvalho will probably go back to Portugal. Drogba, IMHO we'll be lucky to see him play for us again! Essien, may stay due to wages, but would want away. Don't forget he was in Ghana with Jose during the summer. yogic
Sadly, I think this is the end of Chelsea as a BIG POWER in football. Atleast untill a big name manager with a proven track record (capello etc) is brought in. I dont think Avram can cut it, based on what i hear in his voice - then again its not fair to judge until the man has a few games under him. But I fear that many of the players will leave, and given the shock departure of Jose - other players or even managers would be reluctant to risk it at Chelsea. forbzy
I don't know why but this Bob Marley strikes me as particularly apt currently: Why boasteth thyself Oh, evil men Playing smart And not being clever? I said, you're working iniquity To achieve vanity (if a-so a-so) But the goodness of Jah, Jah I-dureth for-I-ver So if you are the big tree We are the small axe Ready to cut you down (well sharp) To cut you down These are the words Of my master, keep on tellin' me No weak heart Shall prosper And whosoever diggeth a pit Shall fall in it, fall in it And whosoever diggeth a pit Shall fall in it (... fall in it) If you are the big tree, let me tell you that We are the small axe, sharp and ready Ready to cut you down (well sharp) To cut you down (To cut you down) (To cut you down) These are the words Of my master, tellin' me that No weak heart Shall prosper And whosoever diggeth a pit Shall fall in it, uh, bury in it And whosoever diggeth a pit Shall bury in it, uh (... bury in it) If you are the big, big tree We are the small axe Ready to cut you down (well sharp) To cut you down If you are the big, big tree, let me tell you that We are the small axe Ready to cut you down (well sharp) To cut you down Sharpened ... Jack
Laxative - - Movement of Jah Bowels! To get back to the point, here are my top 10 candidates for the trap door: @ 10 - Ricky Carvalho - wanted all over Europe, snapped up by Barca next summer @ 9 - Paulo Ferreira - Jose was his Dad, will go back to Porto @ 8 - SWP - The Owner obviously doesn't fancy him, he'll be upset by all the upheaval - off to Newcastle @ 7 - Joey Cole - Jose made him what he is today and knew how to keep him sweet - Spain for Joey @ 6 - Lamps - Will follow the Special One to Inter @ 5 - Drogba - A new challenge for the big boy - maybe Inter with Lamps or Real with Robbie @ 4 - Malouda - Only came cos Drogs was his mate - will be so bad that we'll sell if we can get 50% back @ 3 - Bridge - Only thing keeping him at the club was Jose - off to pastures new as soon as poss @ 2 - Carlo - I wondered how on Earth this guy has been persuaded to play 2nd fiddle for so long. Answer, Jose. @ 1 - Top of the shop, Mickey Boy Essien. The guy is totally f**ked off, would leave tomorrow if he could. Which leaves us Chelsea supporters Royally f**ked thanks to The Owner. Nice one.
JT26CFC
I have to say it, i feel like im watching an episode of dream team. What we're seeing is now the begining of the end. Lampard, ferriera, cudicini, Drogba, sidwell.
loz
Why are people so convinced Paulo will leave? Paulo who went from one of the most respected right backs in Europe to Jose's fall guy without ever actually losing his form. If I was Paulo I would be bloody delighted to be given another fair crack at the whip by a new manager.

Nice one. Rediculous. These are professional footballers. 1. Alot of the players there like Joe Cole, Bridge and Ferreira will welcome the chance to impress a new manager who appreciates more attacking football. 2. The vast majority of the players would much rather hang around and see how things work out with the new manager rather than walk away from their substantial contracts. 3. Those that want to go have contracts tieing them to Chelsea, they aren't just going to get up and leave without a fee 4. There are PLENTY and I mean PLENTY of footballers dying to join Chelsea and to earn the kind of wages they do. We will have no trouble attracting talent no matter who the manager is as long as we have an owner investing $$$ into the club and we are paying generous wages. *edit* I should add something. There is a chance all of those players (and more) will depart the club, and that is if Abramovich leaves Chelsea.

Guest
how many of those players would be here without roman? I can answer that. None. Most of them wouldn't have been signed in the first place. And all the players allready at the club (Terry, Lampard, etc) would have all been sold as the team slips into a Leeds-like financial collapse.
